UTG Scope Mount Base, Fits RWS Diana 34, 36, 38, & 45, Compensates for Droop & Stops Scope Shift

The base will lock down securely using the side bar screws and through pin into factory rail. The recoil lug on front of base was ineffective because a slot in underside of base was milled to short, holding the lug away from factory rail. The base did alleviate the barrel droop problem I had on my model 34.

Fits absolutely perfectly on my early 90s T01 MOD 36. A bit too much droop correction in my case, but at least I can zero my scope now. Great casting and machining as well. If you want a scope on your older model 34/36, this is it. Be sure to use the T06 version if you have a newer rifle, as this may not fit. Get scope rings with at least 4 screws to hold the tube and it will be rock solid. Only complaint is that it puts the scope a little high with normal rings, consider low profile ones.

Did the Job

I was pleasantly surprised by how well machined this base is, it comes anodized with guide numbers, allen wrenches and even spare screws. The quality looks military grade to me. It is also very light, machined out of aluminum, you'll wow at the quality at a very low price.One word of caution: This product is designed for Diana RWS air rifles, it comes with a slanting grade to correct "droop" common in this type of rifles. I tried fitting it to the groves of my Webley Patriot and will not fit, use this base for the application described only.The base is very solid and requires picattiny or weaver rings.

The vendor needs to update the description for this. The manufacturer's description explicitly states in RED letters that this will NOT fit RWS rifles with the TO6 trigger. Mine has the TO6 trigger but I was unaware of the problem until I received this and discovered, mostly through research on my own, that the manufacturer had warnings out on this. Now, Amazon, the vendor and I have to go through the process of a repackaging, going to the post office and sending back the item and getting a refund. All unnecessary work and no fun because someone messed up at the vendor end.THIS WILL NOT FIT RWS RIFLES WITH THE TO6 TRIGGER!

Fit the existing receiver rail very well, (Model 38 RWS) No problems mounting standard rings "US Weaver = 3/4" scope. Using the lowest possible rings on a 32mm Scope. The UTG mount is set-up for the correct barrel compensation at 100yds. The only issue I ran into, was at 40-50 foot, the rectile ajustment on the scope I was using, (BSA Deer Hunter 4x Fixed Power 32mm 1" tube 11.5" overall, Model #DH4X32) did not let me swing to zero.I ended up using a shim inside the rear scope ring, giving me the extra I needed to zero at 50 foot. The mount is manufactured quite well. Aluminum, but high quality. You cannot go wrong with this mount.

This mount sits right down on the dovetail grooves. Three strong allen bolt secure it to the grooves. The tab on the end of this solid mount keeps it from shifting backward under the strong impact of the spring gun air-rifle impact. Combined with 1" Weaver style mounts it makes for a very solid installation. I was surprised to learn that one can only get 1" rings for this setup - since I have a 3/4" scope I had to get a new 1" scope - but that is another review.

You can't get any better fit than this for my RWS model 36. There's a cutaway in the back where the screw on top of the receiver rest against and the screw becomes hidden when installed. The front radius is perfect and picatinny is wedge shape so you don't use all your scope elevation getting on target, were not shooting 100 yards so this feature is awesome.
