I am someone who ALWAYS gets bitten when the mozzies are out, even with deet spray, and other repellants, so this product was a no brainer for me, but I had no idea how effective it would be. In past years when I've been bitten I end up with dozens of scars from the bites (and the resultant scratching and re-healing). However this year, as soon as the massive red blotches appeared, I treated them with this and it killed the itching completely. As a result the bites healed up completely within a week leaving zero scars or blemishes. I will say that the heat does hurt a bit in use. You are effectively *ALMOST* burning yourself, but the results are SO worth it. The small amount of discomfort is massively outweighed by the total elimination of days of itching. Having seen how well it worked I would have easily paid double the price. Definitely worth the money. In terms of ease of use, its one button. I don't think it could be much simpler.

Not normally one for writing reviews, but had to for this item as was amazed how well it works. I react strongly to bites, they get big, red and itchy. Last time I was on holiday - in the UK as well - I didn't even think I'd get bitten and ended up miserable with loads of itchy bites, following that I purchased this item. Holidaying in Thailand some mosquitos made it through all the sprays (they love the taste of me sadly) and this great little product made it feel like the bites weren't there. When I first noticed the bites and that initial little itching I used this tool. Honestly it feels like it's burning you for a second or two, but it's not. Suck it up, leave it on your skin - resting contact is ok, no need to push hard - until it beeps and the itching is gone for hours, in my case sometimes the rest of the day. Use again whenever I felt it getting itchy, takes 30 secs and all good. Anywhere there's a chance of me getting bitten by anything other than the missus, I'll be taking this great little gadget.

It helps. Make sure you don’t put in on broken skin as that is too painful. But if the bite is fresh or not broken it does help to alleviate the itching. I found would have to use more than once, but it does help albeit not a complete panacea. Good size and easy to use. Worth the money. In terms of the pain it doesn’t hurt (my 10 year old used it) but it obviously does get hot.

Whilst not happy at needing to use this gadget, I’m very happy my money wasn’t wasted and it actually works. I made the purchase as I could no longer buy my reliable after bite spray, anything good always seems to get discontinued at some point! The feedbacks were good and I took a punt. I got bitten but couldn’t actually see where the bite was for around 24 hours, I thought I had three, turned out to be only one. So the two areas that didn’t have bites got little blisters from using the gadget, I’m not complaining, it still helped with the initial itching. I started using it after around 10 minutes of realising I’d been bitten. It was still very effective and started working as soon as I used it. Normally a bite would make me swell up and itch like mad for 3 days, I’d be constantly scratching, despite using antihistamines creams. Using this there was practically no itch, I used it no more than 10 times over a 24 hour period including the non bites. I used the 3 second button only, I would say on the second day I used it around 3 times which were uncomfortably hot, but it did the trick and didn’t need to use it again. I had none of the usual swelling either. My partner used it straight away after being bitten and only needed one go of 3 seconds. I’m very impressed & will be keeping this near me during the biting season.

Remarkably effective at stopping itching. Gets pretty hot but doesn't give you 2nd degree burns. Works instantly unlike creams and sprays. Easy to use and small enough to carry with you.

Not bad but not as good as the Bite Away. There are 3 things I find inferior compared to the Bite Away: 1) the heat is inconsistent on the longer setting - gets cooler part way through, 2) the double clicking is awkward compared to the dedicated button on the Bite Away, 3) it’s annoying to have to switch it on and off, 4) the noise is quite annoying. On the other hand I prefer the size and shape of this one. Fits better in your pocket.

I never leave reviews as I’m lazy, but I have to say this thing is incredible. I get bitten badly and in peak season, daily. Nothing works to stop the bites completely and until now I’ve never found anything to stop the itching. With bad bites, I’m often up in the night due to itching and being uncomfortable. However, that’s about to change as this thing arrived today and it works instantly. It does get hot and can feel uncomfortable, but the discomfort stops instantly after the 3 seconds is up and it’s well worth it to stop itching and pain for days

Bought this following a horrendous holiday near Lake Garda where our resort was infested with mosquitoes. Used it this year in Mallorca (where the friendly bat population did a fantastic job of keeping mosquito numbers right down). The product works really well. Following a bite you switch it on, put it at the point of the bite, and press the button. A searing pinpoint of heat can be felt (uncomfortable but not unbearable) for a few seconds. Following that the itch stops almost immediately. One thing to note was that 3 of 4 of us found it excellent. My son complained that it made matters worse, but I believe he may have been bitten by ants rather than mosquitoes, and the tool is specifically designed to counter the proteins that mosquitoes “inject” when they bite.

Die Wärmebehandlung funktioniert tatsächlich sehr gut: Der Juckreiz lässt sich sofort spürbar reduzieren, oft sogar komplett. Besonders angenehm ist, dass die Anwendung nur ein paar Sekunden dauert. Die Verarbeitung wirkt wertig, und durch die kleine Größe passt der Stichheiler problemlos in jede Tasche – ideal für unterwegs, im Sommerurlaub oder beim Spaziergang. Ich finde, die Wärme kann beim ersten Einsatz ein bisschen ungewohnt sein, aber nach zwei, drei Anwendungen weiß man genau, was einen erwartet. Insgesamt ein sehr hilfreiches Produkt, das tut, was es verspricht. Klare Empfehlung.
