Fantastic backpack!
Amazon basics can sometimes be, well, uh basic - not great, not bad - just okay. This backpack is a shining exception. It's fantastic. I'm a writing teacher so I end up dragging a lot of papers and stuff to my classes. I need a backpack that is generously-sized, well-built, and with plenty of pockets. I was stunned when I opened the box and popped this incredible backpack out. Instant love. It's big, has plenty of pockets and carrying compartments, and just feels like a well-made product. One of the ways I can tell a good backpack is the padding and also how much strap the manufacturers provide. A previous backpack (that I'm now decommissioning) has barely enough strap for me and I'm not a large person. This one comes with plenty of adjustment to spare. And when you hold this in your hands it feels great - padded, great zippers - like I said - instant love. I can't speak to the wear factor since I just got it but I will report back if it turns out not to be the dream I'm saying here. For the price, I'm honestly thinking about buying another one just to have in case Amazon doesn't carry these in the future. Amazing value, Amazon. Thanks! P.S. I actually just bought two more...

Great commuter daypack or school bag for the money
I bought this pack as a stand-in for my regular commuter backpack which I had to send off to the manufacturer for repairs. My regular pack is an Outdoor Products pack. I have used their products for years and their warranty is simply the best. It is the reason I keep buying their products. They always stand behind their items, forever. So, I bought this Amazon Basics because it was ultra low cost and looked like it might fit the bill while my regular was in the shop.At less than $20, it was a no brainer to give it a try.To my surprise, this pack is more versatile, lightweight, and roomy than my regular item.I just might switch to this one full time. I also might seriously consider ordering a couple more of these for my son to use for school. The one I received is well made and has lots of pockets for organization. The main compartment has ample room for two 15" laptops and an iPad. The other pockets allow you to position all your work papers, books, pencils, etc in an efficient manner and still have room leftover.

Wonder Bag, a Killer Value
Man, oh, man. You'd think I was comped by Amazon but I was not. This backpack rocks. It has tons of pockets of the zipping and non-zipping variety. I have been able to fit so many weirdly shaped thing in this thing, and there is generally a ton of space. The straps are very comfortable and personally a sternum strap is critical, and this pack has one. Extremely durable and attractive. I can only think of two possible downsides and these are minor: 1) the strap at top has a rubber handle. I would have preferred no rubber handle because I hang my carabiner on it in order to attach items I don't want to hold in my hand like my coat. The rubber handle causes the carabiner to slip to the far right or left of the handle, so the weight and appearance are off. 2) This bag can hold so much that you will be tempted to stuff a lot in here. Stuff too much, and it may look ungainly, especially on the backs of those who are short of stature like me. So, I encourage buyers to resist that temptation.

A great backpack for casual and everyday usage.
I use this backpack as my daily driver, and so far; so good. It's roomy, lightweight, comfortable to keep on for long periods, and isn't necessarily ugly. Here's a rundown of my thoughts on it:PROS:- Enough compartments for adequate organization- The shoulder pads are quite comfy- The zippered compartments are very secure- The buckles keep water bottles and such secure and the chest buckle helps redistribute a little weight off of the shoulders- The handle feels solid and well-madeCONS:- I feel like the laptop area could have been made a little better. I would have preferred the sleeve to have a zipper, or at least have a little thicker padding.- The side buckles prevent the backpack from opening when they are buckled. The bigger brother 17" Adventure Backpack AmazonBasics Adventure Backpack - Fits Up To 17-Inch Laptops doesn't have this problem...OTHER THOUGHTS:- Not really the bag's fault... But my 15.6" Dell is quite tight in the laptop area. Sigh. Again, I know the bag is for 15" and under, but still...At the end of the day, I really do like this backpack. I've had the bigger one for awhile now, and to be honest, it's quite cumbersome compared to this guy here. That one is great for work, but this guy is my personal walkin' around backpack.
