Amazon Basics Bluetooth Receiver Adapter

Using Transceiver mode: connects quickly every time it's turned on. Volume on the receiving end is very good! (previously had a taotronics that had frustrating super low volume no matter what. And it also quit working after two months, hence why I bought this one.) Form factor is odd, but I get why, but I still would have preferred the connectors on the edge instead of out of the back, makes direct connection impossible in a small space, and also makes mounting very awkward. Battery life is mediocre. But hey, it works, and at a decent price.

I follow the instructions and connected it to my device and it worked and sounded great for about an hour then stopped. Won’t take or hold a charge. I was able to get it working again but unfortunately it only lasted a few minutes and then would disconnect. Sadly I didn’t open and try it right away and missed the return window. I guess I’ll just junk it and order a different unit.

My initial intention on buying this bluetooth transmitter was to watch movies on the flights with my bluetooth headphone and this product turned out to be amazing! All I do is to pair my headphone to the transmitter with TX mode on, and plug it to the back of aircraft seats. (It won't dc even when i go to the restroom with my headphone on). Also the transmitter literally works on any device that has a 3.5mm input socket. When my MacBook doesn't connect to my Bose SoundSport headphone, the transmitter will do the job (since switching between devices with non-Apple bluetooth products does not usually go easy). Whereas the RX (receiver) mode allows you to connect your phone to the "BT Adapter" (the name of this product), and all I do is to plug it to anyone's speaker and it'll do the job for you! That's why I found this product amazing and very convenient because it's small and very portable.

UPDATED review: I have completely revised this review, because after what feels like nearly a year with this product I finally learned how to use it, and it works almost, but not quite, flawlessly. 1) The instructions which came with the unit are garbage. Throw them away and read mine, here. 2) First turn your headphones ON. 3) Turn off ALL other Blue Tooth transmitters, like those in your phones. This is what caused me the most problems pairing. 4) Ensure this product is set to TX. 5) Press and hold button until light flashes rapidly, then release button and wait. Sometimes they pair immediately, other times it may take up to 10 seconds. If pairing does not occur, press and hold button on this unit until light goes out and nothing happens. Wait 5 seconds and repeat this step. 6) You must remain within approximately 15' or audio begins to skip badly. 7) Enjoy. Original review: When it works, I like everything about it. However, it does not maintain connection after he headphones are turned off, so you must repair with every use. Worse yet, it takes FOREVER to link. I have been attempting to pair it to my Sony headphones for more than 5 minutes now with NO connection. It is TOUCHING the headphones and still cannot pair. The instructions are a joke, so don't bother reading them... they don't actually explain how to pair. They were obviously written by someone who had never tried to use the product. BUT... when it works, it is PERFECT!

It works. It connects quickly. Sounds slightly less ass than anyone who grew up in the 90s before dirt cheap DACs would expect. That being said, the male to male connection feels like it will bend off at any point I despise that it charges with micro USB and if it has a battery, it needs a clip. I ended up ordering something clipless and battery-less for my car instead. My unit has small variations in volume randomly happen that make me think I'm getting notifications. Total deal breaker for me. Spend a little extra on something that fits your needs better for this is a -master-of-none

Just got this and installed it in my old Nissan Sentra that did not have Bluetooth built in the car stereo but did have an AUX in. The pairing process was pretty easy and no issue with my iPhone X. The audio quality was pretty good, as good as the old wire setup. I am very happy with this so far. I can get rid of the lightning audio dongle and the long audio cable in my car. Very happy with the purchase.

The TX receiver doesn’t even work. I connected the Bluetooth using the RX just fine. When I switch the transmitter to TX pair to my device…. It doesn’t work. The device doesn’t show up on my Bluetooth. The ports don’t fit the adapter on the American Airlines entertainment screen. I was absolutely unsuccessful in parking the audio from the screen to my Bluetooth in any capacity using this device.

This cannot be operated while plugged in; it simply won’t do anything. The manual also warns against leaving it plugged in over night. Thus, this is completely useless as any kind of permanent or semi permanent Bluetooth solution. Seems like it’d be a neat portable solution but when you charge it you’ll have to specifically unplug it when it’s done charging, if you care about following the manual that is.
