Rebranded Etymotic ER20 Plugs at a Great Price! Highly Recommended
These Hearos "High Fidelity" earplugs are really the popular Etymotic Research ER20 plugs rebranded in a different package. In fact, they are also the same as the Mack's brand "Hear Plugs High Fidelity" model (I own them all). For whatever reason, both of the rebranded versions cost less than the "Etymotic" branded ones despite being exactly the same, but I'm not complaining!Over the past year, I have tried more than a dozen different models of ear plugs claiming to be either "flat attenuation", "natural sounding" or "high fidelity" with some costing upwards of $50 per pair! Needless to say, these Etymotic/Mack's/Hearos plugs are hands-down the best plug for the price if you are looking for a true "high fidelity" ear plug that will reduce the volume of your surroundings an appreciable amount without causing voices and music to become overly softened, muddled or inaudible. In fact, there's nothing at 2x or even 3x the price that exceeds the performance of these plugs and many similar designs, such as the popular "Vader" plugs, simply fall short in real world use.The NRR (noise reduction rating) of these plugs is rated at just 12db, so I DO NOT recommend them for use in shooting sports or high noise work environments. However, for short-term use in moderately loud environments, such as busy restaurants, parties, music concerts and band practices, these are an exceptional choice! In reality, the effective noise reduction of these plugs is closer to 20db at some frequencies, but it's always best to err on the side of caution when it comes to your ears, so get a plug with a higher NRR rating if you are going to be exposed to loud noises for more than a couple hours at a time.My only complaint is that the stem on this design sticks out a bit farther than I would prefer. However, the clear color does help conceal it and this is only an aesthetic preference, not a functional one. In use, the longer stem makes the plugs easier to hold, fit and remove than some other styles, particularly the Planet Waves "Pacato" earplugs and HearDefenders-DF models. The triple-layer, mushroom-shaped baffle system is a classic design, but continues to offer the widest range of fitment and offers a good quality seal in most ears with average size canals. All in all, these are a high quality ear plug that deliver exactly what they say...high fidelity sound with solid protection!Highly recommended. If you found my review helpful, please tell Amazon by clicking the "YES" button below. A must have for loud concerts
A must have for loud concerts. They lower the decibels while still providing some high end clarity. Just make sure to clean them every time you’re done using them.

Good but No case.
These work great but the packaging is cheap. They used to come with a nice case for them. Real easy to lose without a case

excellent for loud live music!
HEAROS are way better than foam ear protectors that muffle everything. These attenuate sound to a safe level without impacting the quality of a live show. i tried taking them off at end of concert for the encore thinking I had been missing out and I just put them back in because it was just too loud without them and I wasn't benefiting from any higher quality sound having taken them out. I would highly recommend then for loud music venues.

Save Your Hearing!
I'm a professional session and touring drummer and these are great!!I can hear the vocals, bass and guitar solos very well all while my ears don't feel stresses by the sound. We reach about 112 db. at times but for me, no problems! They are very comfortable light and clean easily. They are my favorite option aside from the very expensive monitors. These are just fine!

Good plugs for short durations and certain types of music
I bought these ear plugs because the last few concerts I went to, by the time the opening acts were finished, my ears were ringing to the point I couldn't hear the vocals of the main act.I recently wore these to an arena show where I saw Jack White with Loretta Lynn and William Tyler as opening acts. I wore the ear plugs through the first two acts and was very pleased with their performance. The overall volume was quietened as well as the ambient noise and I didn't lose any fidelity in the music.I had intended to take them out before the main act, but they worked so well I wore them when Jack White took stage also. Within minutes I had to take them out. I'm not sure if it is because of the type of music being played, or because the volume was increased, but for that part of the show everything sounded muddy and I couldn't hear the vocals or lead guitar at all with the plugs in. When I took them out, everything sounded great.Overall, I'm glad I had them to save my ears for the main act, but they don't seem to work in all situations.Just a note on comfort, they seem to be comfortable for about half an hour and I then needed to take a rest.

Works well to isolate high end frequency
My husband is a musician who has high end frequency hearing loss. Doctor told him he needed to isolate his ears from additional decibels. Other ear plugs closed off his hearing and he couldn’t follow the band. These are a real life saver. Small compact and come with 2 sizes to custom fit to his ear. They allow him to hear what is going on and still play music without further damage to his hearing or inner ear.A carrying case is supplied so he can place them back into for storage in his guitar case. They are always handy. They have multiple options from this manufacturer to accomodate for your specific needs. Allowing each individual to purchase the specific item for their needs. We have recommended these to other musicians in our area and they have all purchased them. I can’t brag on these enough. After 40 years of playing my husband and his friends have had some seriously LOUD events. I am happy that we found something to save what’s left of their hearing.Pros:Allows you to still hearBlocks high end frequencyLight weightCustom fitCarry caseConvenientCons:Haven’t found any yetMaybe getting someone to actually try themThese also work well for large music events my daughter used them for a concert. No loud ringing in the ears the next day.Small would not recommend these for children under age of 10 due to possible choking hazard should they pull them out of their ears. For kids see my other review on theClearArmor 141001 Shooters Hearing. Thanks for reading
