Great bake mate
This is a very good brand of yeast and the dough is guaranteed to rise. Also different yeasts give different smell to the dough and the resulting bread. This one has a very pleasant sweet smell. Pro tip: Add some mixed herbs and little bit of fresh fenugreek or dried kasuri methi on the bread before baking it. The aroma will spread through the kitchen!

The yeast I received was dead, or almost so
I was so careful. I kept it very dry in a tightly lidded jar. But every week when I baked bread there was a little action at first, a few bubbles, and the first rise was happening a little, but after hours and hours in a warm spot, nothing. I tried this and I tried that. Nothing. Used more, used less, nothing. Warmer water, cooler water, nothing. With the last spoonful I put it in a jar with a little atta, a little jaggery, warm water, thinking, at least it will produce a sourdough starter. Nothing. No bubbles. My yeast is dead.
