So I put the seed in the soil and water everyday, no sign of baby grass after 2 weeks, I thought it didn’t work but the third-forth week I start to see some baby grass growing. I even bought a new pack of seed on the 2nd week because I thought it didn’t work, but it actually work, just have to be patient (it could be the weather too, it’s still 35-60F here). -Prepare the soil, loose soil with garden fork/ craw first, if you have compost around you can put some in the soil (I did). -SHAKE the bag before you open it, put the seed mix on the soil and LIGHTLY cover the seed with soil, not too deep. -I water twice a day (5 mins sprinkler each) and checked 2 times a day to make sure it’s not dry, and not too wet. Hope you have good result too, bare spots is so annoying

The weed sprouted vigorously and abundantly, but then something went wrong. All the new grass wilted within a few weeks. Probably due to excessive moisture - it rained all the time... it turned out to be a problem for me to grow it correctly. However, I don't think it's the manufacturer's problem.

Bought this grass seed for some patches areas of missing grass id started to have in the backyard from my house to garage from foot traffic..this worked fairly well I did a little gratting to the ground sprinkled watered a bit didn't upkeep to much honestly wed got rain over here there next few days and it sprouted eventually did the job of what I got it for..

Not a lot of grass seed in mix. Poor results for patching bare spots. Followed instructions, but poor results.

I just bought a new house and there were patches of dead grass on the lawn. I bought this to fill in the patches but it was a complete fail. The grass did grow just like in my picture. Very thin and sporadic but it died in about a week after sprouting. I decided to test it in a separate container to rule out the possibility of my lawn being the issue. I got fresh soil and put it in three separate containers. I added seeds to all three and watered daily. They all sprouted but two completely died and the third only remained with very thin sporadic blades of grass. It's a great product in theory but it doesn't last and it's a big waste of time. You're better off buying a piece of sod and laying it where you need grass.

This short grass thrives in the shade! I love it! It only took 2 weeks to get some small baby grass, but after about 2 months, its still nice and short and filling in nicely. Its an understatement to say that I am excited about this. My existing grass is tall grass, but planting this grass makes me want to replant my entire yard with fresh short grass so that I never have to mow it again. Of course I'll have to plant really tall skinny trees or shrubbery to shade my entire yard, but it will likely be worth it! Looks soft enough to walk on barefoot. I don't know yet how delicate it is. Hope it can survive the occasional tromp with my big feet. But if it doesn't, I can always buy more at this low price of $10.

I wasn’t expecting much - just hopeful - that this would grow some grass in a spot where it was bare and shaded a majority of the day. I purchased this hoping I could get some grass to grow. Well after putting in top soil to add height to the ground and spreading the seeds, I watered it when I remembered (so not according to instructions). After a few days, the grass started to sprout. I was unsure if this was growth from the weeds underneath or the actual product. Well, a few days later I can confirm it is the seeds. The picture is after a week of application. I am now trying to see if this will work in my problem area in the back where water loves to pool whenever it rains. Fingers crossed that it will help with this issue. If it does, I plan to get the bigger bag. Definitely recommend!

Bought this bag of grass seed because it was $10 cheaper than the competitor. When I opened the bag, it was mostly "mulch". I looked at the content break down and it is greater than 90% inert material. I put it on my lawn to patch some areas and it has not yet germinated, so I can't speak to how good the grass from the seed is, but very disappointed at the 1 pound of seed content. Guess I will be buying the competitors 3 lb bag for $10 more.
