My laptop does not have an ethernet port so I had tried a couple of other usb gigabit adapters with very disappointing results. My ethernet speeds were actually slower than my WIFI. I tried drivers, adapter settings, cables, router ports etc to no avail. My other connected devices easily reached over 200mbps, but not my laptop. Decided to try once more and this one did the trick. Put it in and immediately got well over 200mbps.

I have a MacBook which doesn’t have an Ethernet/RJ45 port. I had a Zoom meeting in a room where WiFi is virtually nonexistent but it had Ethernet access. This adapter was the solution and it worked flawlessly.

Works on 2025 MacBook Air.

I have used a number of USB-C network cards with varying degrees of success. I was aware of this model, but no one would deliver it to where I live :('When I saw that I could have it delivered, I immediately seized the opportunity and finally regained my network access in 1Gb/s mode, and it's ultra-stable! I keep it continuously connected to my Studio Display, so when I return to work at the office, I just connect my MacBook Pro and fully enjoy my network :)

It works exactly as advertised. Excellent throughput.The one caveat is that the plastic covering of the short wire connecting to the two ends of the adapter, breaks down if gets wiggled repeatedly, leaving just the inside insulation covering the actual wire. This does not affect the performance of it, however.All in all, a solid product.

Three months ago when I received the adapter, it worked at full gigabit speeds. Now it works at less than 300 Mbps. I had an older adapter that I simply swapped in to test, and that worked at over 900 Mbps, so it was obvious the adapter was no longer working correctly. So I went to the Belkin chat site, and they threw several questions at me, and ultimately they wanted me to restart the modem. So of course I lost connection then had to start a new chat. I then had to answer several questions about the computer, operating system, etc. then send them a photograph of the adapter and a pdf of the invoice. Two hours later the chat process is finished, and they have approved a replacement. I now have to pay for sending them the old adapter before they will send me a new one (or I could have given them credit card info, and they would have sent me one immediately, with the premise I'd send them the old one in 30 days, otherwise they'd charge me for the new one). Basically this was a huge waste of time for a $28 item, it should have been much more efficient, and they really should be paying for transport in both directions. It felt like they were doing what they could to disavow that the adapter was at fault, although they were courteous while they were doing it. Overall a very frustrating experience.
