Can you use normal table salt

Yes you can use normal salt. I got told this off the consultants at the ENT department. 1 teaspoon of salt, bicarbonate of soda, and salt will be enough for 1 litre of water that's been boiled. Never use tap water that's not boiled. But I find it easier just to use the sachets. I'm lazy.
