AcuRiteWireless Home Weather Station with Color Display, Indoor Outdoor Thermometer and Temperature Sensor (02077M)

This temperature device not only tells you the inside and outside temperature, but also the humidity inside and outside, the weather forecast, and the date and time. I love it's easy to read digital readouts, moon phases, forecasts, temperature readouts and humidity readouts. I built a small wooden box to put the transmitter in, drilled holes for air circulation, and painted it the same color as the house. Then I attached it to the house with an L bracket, put the transmitter in it and closed the door. It is on the other side of the wall from the inside unit, and works perfectly. Since the transmitter is inside the wooden box, it is out of the rain and wind. I highly recommend this unit as a time, temperature inside and out, date, humidity inside and out, moon phase and more.

This is a GREAT unit! The Instruction Manual is in large enough letters that it can be read by a Senior Citizen of 78 years (Me). The Setup was quick and easy and the display is beautifully done. The only issue I had was during the Registration process, I could not locate the Model number that I had received. I left a note on the registration explaining the issue and I'm sure they will be able to take care of it for me.

We have several acurite sensors and displays. The sensors seem to have the best range of any of the weather stations I've tried including Ambient Weather. Sensors can easily transmit 100-150' through wood and windows. Metal buildings and walls will block the signal.This display has a wider base than most of the Acurite displays and is designed to sit on a table. It requires AC power and comes with a transformer and a long thin cable for powering the display. The batteries are only to maintain history and settings.My only negative is taht the display has a limited field of view and can be hard to read if you are not at the right angle.

3 years later and it is still running strong. Sensor battery is holding out very well.

The display is considerably smaller than previous models of the same type and more difficult to read from certain angles. The wedge shape of the station itself does not lend to laying flush when mounted on a wall. This is the second 1 I've ordered in the last 10 days as the first one had a dud for an outdoor sensor. I've relied on these weather stations for over 15 years (average lifespan is 2 years for me) so I really hope the next one works like the ones I've had in the past.

Easily visible temp and humidity inside and out (which is great in sub-tropics). (Also shows today’s highs and lows of temp and humidity, but it’s quite small)Features colored, animated visual display of forecast: sunny, cloudy, rain, lightening. (Occasionally the weather display does not correspond with my current weather). Difficult to read time and date (too small for old eyes). Shows pressure and whether it’s going up or down, Shows animated phases of moon.Easy to read straight on or at an angle. It’s larger than I expected.The black in my light colored room doesn’t look good. I only wish I’d have had the option of white which I realized was available on Acu-Rite’s website 😢 and it was cheaper.This model does not work with WiFi. The outdoor sensor needs to be placed out of wind, weather and sun! So may interfere with accurate readings.
