As a professional seamstress I use seam rippers and snips all the time. While traveling recently, I forgot to pack mine. I needed them quickly so decided to give this set a try. I am shocked at how good the seam ripper is. I've been using the bigger one and it is very sharp, better than my name brand ones. The snips are great and I am super happy with the small scissors. The blade is slightly curved which I wasn't expecting but am so happy to have. They work great for cutting around appliqués and are very sharp. They also work well as snips. For $7-8 it exceeded my expectations.

This sewing seam ripper set exceeded my expectations. You get two large and two small seam rippers, plus a thread cutter — all well-made and sharp. The ergonomic handles are comfortable to hold, and the blades glide through stitches without damaging the fabric. I use the larger ripper for long seams and the small one for precision work like buttonholes and embroidery mistakes. The thread cutter is a nice bonus for quick snips. Each tool feels sturdy, not flimsy like some others I’ve tried. I also appreciate the safety caps and the variety of sizes — great for everything from simple mending to more detailed sewing projects. This is a very nice set of necessary sewing tools. There are 4 seam rippers in 2 sizes, thread clips with extra blades that are perfect to keep by your sewing machine to clip threads as you finish seams, and a small pair of sharp scissors that are great for small sewing jobs like opening buttonholes.

The seam rippers are nice and sharp and the curved bladed scissor is great for trimming batting around trapunto on a quilt. I also really like that the snips have extra blades. The reason for four stars instead of five is that the small rippers are very difficult to hold with my arthritic hands. All in all, a very nice and useful set.

But when I discovered the curved scissors, well these are a game changer! Amazing product.
