The picture is of my very 1st sushi roll. So, I am very happy with this purchase. The set includes 2 sushi mats, a rice paddle, a rice spreader (which I did not use), a knife, molds for making nigiri, temaki mats, 5 pairs of chopsticks, 2 shallow sauce dishes, and 2 chopstick rests (though I hoped for the little whales shown in the ad). The box also contains an easy to follow instruction/recipe guide. My rice turned out perfectly. The best part of the set-up, however, is the bazooka roller. It simplifies the rolling process tremendously. The cutter guide is also very helpful, although it creates pieces larger than I like. Everything is user-friendly if you follow directions. I soaked the rice paddle and bamboo mats in water, as instructed, and lightly oiled the bazooka mold and my work surface. I also wore gloves while working. Because I did these things, the rice wasn't too sticky. I wouldn't attempt this without oiling everthing though. I hand washed the whole lot in less than 5 minutes. The only downside I found is that the knife provided is a bit dull, so I end up using my own boning knife instead. Most of the products are made of plastic that mimics bamboo, but considering the price, I am very satisfied with the quality. I didn't want to waste money on a practice kit and this was NOT a waste. Overall, this kit is an excellent value, and is easy enough for tweens to use with supervision. I am even sending one to a friend! I highly recommend it for anyone looking to attempt making sushi!

Our son wanted to learn how to make sushi so I got this for him for Christmas. What a hit! Easy to read instructions. Easy to clean, ours made it safely through the dishwasher. We have preteen boys and this was Easy for them to use. So fun making the burrito sushi roll. Some of the items are plastic which gives a cheap feeling, but they are well made. Couple different options for different types of sushi rolls.

Looks like a nice little sushi kit, very basic but I am sure it will get the job done. The plastic pieces in it feel kind of cheap and the knife is a basic and cheap as can be. But for the price point I would suggest it for someone just learning to make sushi. It is certainly acceptable.

Ordered this kit and made my first set of homemade sushi rolls. Kit had everything I needed besides a rice cooker, which I already had to make sticky rice. It also included a helpful instruction booklet. My first recipe was made with imitation crab meat, avocado, and julienned carrots, wrapped in nori sheets. I look forward to trying many more combinations of flavors. I would recommend this kit to any beginner. I was able to make two full rolls with one cup of rice that yielded about 16 pieces. Turned out delicious! The kit has very useful tools for molding the rice, making the rolls with bamboo sheets, and a great dish for cutting the perfect sized sushi rolls. Also includes a sushi knife, chopsticks and other utensils. Great value for the price.

Great kit with a lot of sushi making equipment. It doesn't differ much from any other, but man, this knife must have been made in Tony Stark's lab. After a month of daily use it still slices through everything with no effort. These guys should start a knife making company with product like this.

Received this fun gift! A great idea for a at-home date night or even a person in your life wanting to take on a new culinary hobby! Came with all pieces intact and easy to use tools. Won’t be permanently durable since some pieces are plastic, but still decent quality overall Have since made a great meal with this product!
