I have been ordering from Amazon for years and with over hundreds and hundreds of order, I cant remember ever writing a review...until today. I have had this wonderful washer for almost a month and love, love, love it! Did I mention I love it? Well I do! I have been searching for a portable washer for a couple of months. I live in Hawaii so shipping is generally not offered on large products such as this. I also live in a studio condominium. Units here do not have washer hookups and it is further prohibited to change existing plumbing so our options are few to none. It has been far too many years of going up and down in the elevator to the laundromat and has become too expensive in my eyes to pay $10 to wash and dry a load. Most of the time, my clothes are still wet, which takes longer to dry and once dried, well, not freshly clean smelling. I work from home a lot and have a pet, so the convenience of doing laundry at home became very important to me. I did have one of those Panda small washers for under $100 and a spin dryer about the same several years ago. It broke down after a year. It was time consuming and if time is money, then maybe I lost out somewhere in the equation. I would not order such a product again. So recently I started my search and was reluctant to go down the path of trying another washer. After a month of comparing models and reading and re-reading reviews, I chose the RCA. (was only $209 at the time I purchased with free PRIME shipping). It arrived on time and no damage. It did have pictures of the washer on the outer box and description. The Fedex delivery guy was quite impressed with it and had a lot of questions for me. I had it unboxed, hooked up and was doing my first load in 30 minutes. It actually holds more than I thought it would. I can also do a full bed sheet set in one load (fitted and flat sheet and 4 pillow cases). I can usually do 2-3 loads for a weeks worth of laundry. It has been a long time since I have been so impressed with a product. I would easily give this washer 10 stars if I could. This unit spins clothes very dry. I use a non-scented detergent and I have not had clothes come out actually smelling so amazingly fresh since I was a kid and my grandmother was doing my laundry! Very quiet operation. If it broke down tomorrow, I would order it again! HAHAHA Folks, there are no further words for me to describe my satisfaction with this gem. Get it, you won't be disappointed. Additional: Anyone who has one, what is the black plastic large square piece in the box for? The instruction manual is not very detailed. For instance, there is a soap dispenser listed in the manual but I havent been able to find it. I just pour my laundry soap on top of the clothes as the water is added. Absolutely no issues with this process. I would give the manual a 2-star rating. But this should not take away for the excellent quality of the washer at all. Also, I was initially looking for a unit that I can add water to. Didnt want to bother with hooking up to sink. I am so glad I took a chance on this purchase! The set up is way too easy and once done, you load machine and turn it on, you can walk away. There is no babysitting with this machine! UPDATE: 2/21/17 I cant believe I have had this gem for almost a year and a half now. Still no problems. I use about 4 times a week. Incredibly, I think this is the best and favorite thing I have ever bought from Amazon. LOL I honestly didnt expect it to last a year. No leaks, or loud banging. Total confidence and if it broke down today, I would have another one ordered within minutes! Life saver!!! :)

My wife and I live in a solar powered off-grid 20 x 40 cabin on 24 acres in a very rural area. Being solar powered, it is important that we select appliances that work well but are efficient with electricity. Our other requirement is the appliance not unnecessarily take up valuable living space. Since it is just the two of us, we decided to look for a small apartment sized washer and happened upon this RCA RPW091 0.9 cu. ft. Portable Washer. Reading the positive reviews we decided to purchase it. We've had it now for several months and have run some 30-40 loads of laundry through it. WOW! This is a very capable washing machine - much higher quality than we expected for the price. It gets our clothing much cleaner than our former larger unit and consumes much less electricity. Then there's the spin cycle... it gets the clothing about 85% dry such that we need to hang our clothing out to dry for maybe an hour or two at the most (we don't have a dryer). Now for perspective... It certainly isn't a large capacity machine. If that's what you're looking for, move on. We've found that it can wash two pairs of jeans, a few shirts, several pairs of socks and several undergarments in a full load. It can wash three full sized towels and a few wash cloths in a full load. It handles a Queen sized sheet with a few pillow cases thrown in just fine. The biggest load we've put into it was a Queen sized quilted cover. It was almost too much for it to handle but it handled it. I especially like that you can select a number of different wash programs then customize them for individual washes. Since we do a lot of work on the land, our clothing can get pretty soiled. I like that I can select the "Heavy Duty" wash cycle then increase the wash time or create a custom soak and wash and spin cycle then do a full wash cycle to get all of the dirt out. My only complaint is the really bad translation from Chinese to English of the manual. I got through it, sometimes laughing. It's the exact same machine with slightly different colors. They took the time to rewrite the manual in understandable English.

I bought this washing machine a year ago and it still works great, I love it! I use it off my kitchen sink and only use cold water to wash. I can wash blankets in this machine, which is a huge bonus.

Hay muy poca información al respecto de esta lavadora al menos en México y eso es porque realmente no se venden en nuestro país este tipo de lavadoras portátiles; suelen tener un costo mucho menor y una calidad inferior las destinadas a cubrir esta gama. Aunque el costo es relativamente elevado para la capacidad de lavadora ya que podrías comprar una normal por el mismo costo se entiende perfectamente, no es para todos, su tamaño es compacto, pesa muy poco y el ruido es prácticamente nulo. Ideal para apartamentos pequeños y personas solas o máximo que viven en pareja y quieren algo funcional que no quite espacio. Lava, enjuaga y centrífuga, es totalmente automática y la salida del agua es con bomba así que no necesita estar en alto como otras lavadoras de desagüe por gravedad. Los materiales en general son plásticos pero no se siente de mala calidad, su motor es potente pero no recomendaría abusar de el, es totalmente digital y con programas establecidos así que pon tu ropa dale play y dejala trabajar. Tiene un parado automático si abres la puerta, no se recomienda hacer esto, presiona el botón de pausa si agregaras detergente o suavizante. Yo lavo mis uniformes quirúrgicos, pantalones de mezclilla, ropa deportiva y todo bien, pero nunca intenten lavar una cobija o un edredón es demasiado para lavadora, sabanas si soporta. Mientras esté en interiores o en un lugar donde no le peguen los elementos como lluvia y sol debería durarles mucho tiempo. En algunas fotos sale pegada a una lavadora de 18 kg para que hagan un comparativo de tamaño, es como de juguete pero super funcional.

This is a beautiful washing machine. If you read and follow the manual carefully, you will have no problem unpacking and setting it up. It agitates well and spins very fast. Clothes come out clean and almost dry. It is relatively quiet in all cycles. The capacity is good (e.g., 4 flannel shirts and a jogging set). The control panel is easy to use. It has a lid which drops and closes in slow motion--a nice touch. Highly recommended!

The washer would be a splendid little washer if it only worked how it was suppose to. Right from the start it malfunctioned. On one or more of the cycles the buttons didn't respond or worked. On one of the cycles the highest level of water wasn't working and didn't finish filling up before it started to wash. I contacted "Canada Direct - Often Ships Same Day!" from Amazon and told them about the defect. They said they didn't have any technical knowledge about this item and wondered if I had contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer wasn't willing to give me the help I needed. I just contacted Amazon and told them the manufacturer was helping me and if Amazon wasn't helping me either I wanted to return the washing machine and get a refund. I will wait and see what Amazon will do now.

I needed a washer in my RV that I'm currently living in full-time. Really didn't want to do the laundromat thing especially during COVID. My RV has pre-installed taps and a drain for both a washer/drier combo. I couldn't afford to get the costly ones sold for RVs so found this on Amazon. I was a little leery at first since it looked toy-like. Of course you don't know how long it will last, but I can say right now after several washes it's indispensable. The normal wash takes about 40 minutes and the clothes come out really quite dry. Heavier items a little less dry but good enough so I just put the near a heat vent and the next day they're dry. Minor pet peeves are that the fill inlet is on top of the unit so the hose sticks up and gets in the way of opening the top cover. Also of course you can't load it as much as a normal washer but that's obvious. Also I would have liked an option for an extended warranty for peace of mind. I do have a question on why my manual says COLD water only in caps, several times. Would rather use warm. Lastly, the weight is light so you can move it around easily. All in all, a good buy; not really cheap but ok. Time will tell on the reliability.
