Design classic from Philips and Georg Jensen
Great indoor speaker. Looks very tactile with the fabric and polished steel finish.Sound quality is good generally. Can sound slightly 'boxy' when playing music with heavy baselines.

Great looking and sounding speaker with a couple of minor design choices
The Phillips JS30/00 is an extremely beautiful and stylish Bluetooth speaker. It is wrapped almost entirely in the softest denim-coloured woollen fabric with a corner of exposed chrome. Honestly, it looks fantastic wherever it is placed thanks to the elegantly modern design.Included within the box is a travel pouch and cleaning cloth, the cloth particularly is a great addition given the metal sections love of displaying fingerprints.Sound quality is good, not world-class, but unless you're a master audiophile, you'll be more than satisfied. To the ear, it's good across all ranges with no audible weaknesses. There were no issues when experimenting with the EQ on my music streaming service, the bass was beefy when boosted and voices were clear and sharp. No complaints either with the connectivity range, I wandered freely around the house, and there was no signal dropout. My only complaints were the stability and charging port location. This speaker is very narrow, and the rubber stands at the bottom are pretty poor. A slight knock of whatever surface it is standing on will almost always cause it to fall. With the charging port being on the very underside of the speaker, you can't stand it up while charging, instead, you have to rest it on its side. This, understandably, is to allow a seamless aesthetic, but still I'd prefer it on the back.Unquestionably it's a good looking speaker, and ultimately that's what you're paying the high price for. But, the sound quality is good, and so I can't help but recommend it.

Does what you want, but prefer JBL Charge 4
It looks nice, it paired quickly with my Iphone X, and is fully controllable from the phone. The sound is fine for mid and high frequencies but lacking in the bass. I tried it in a medium sized hall for dancing practice, but decided quite quickly that it doesn't punch out the back-beat well enough for ballroom and sequence dancing, and I've reverted to JBL Charge 4 which is £40 more expensive but oh so much better.

Award winning design, sound quality sadly lacking
I really wanted to like this speaker. It’s beautiful, award winningly so and does not look out of place on any book shelf. Regrettably though, it’s bass really lets it down.Contents include :- Beautiful looking Bluetooth speaker- Travel pouch- Thick USB C charging cable- User manual / quick start guideThe speaker has an award winning design - small and part covered with blue fabric cover and part polished stainless steel, it really does look amazing and will look irrespective of where it is located. Do have a look at the posted pictures. It’s small too - 13cm tall and 10cm wide (at its widest point). It’s also quite light - weighing c.300g.On one side are 5 buttons - power, bluetooth, play / pause, + and - . There is also an led which is red when charging, off when done, blue when in use. At the bottom of the speaker are a pair of legs and inbetween is the USB C charging point, protected by a silicone cover.Powering on the speaker is simple - press the power button. Pairing is also straightforward. Look for Philips JS30 on phone and connect. No pairing codes needed.Music ...This speaker is rated at only 4w. That said, it feels fairly loud - loud enough to amplify music but not enough to be a party speaker. Vocals sound clear and distinct, mids good but bass is notably lacking .... it has no real depth. My first gripe. At this pricing point, there’s no excuse. Highs and lows, managed well, and does not notably distort at its highest volume.Movies .... No problem .... They add another dimension and are huge improvement to the enjoyment, particularly when watching via tablet. It's very satisfying.Range is estimated at c.20 metres and continuous play at 6 - 8 hours. The buttons on the speaker control iPhone music functions - so you can play or pause, increase or decrease volume. No capability of changing songs though. Another gripe. Most Bluetooth speakers seem to capable of this.Phone call functionality works well too. Sound is good and audible. To charge this speaker, the USB C port is located on the underside meaning that you cannot charge this speaker and listen to its whilst it’s standing on its feet. Also, the feet are very I really wanted to like this speaker.
