Not fit for purpose
Best I can tell this is supposed to be a BSPP 1/2" female at both ends of the valve. However, there is insufficient thread length present for a BSPT or NPT fitting to bond by thread interference. There is also no way of seating a rubber washer inside the valve, nor is there sufficient surface area for a rubber washer on the external face of the valve. I wasted so much money throwing fittings at this thing and came to the conclusion it just isn't BSP compliant and the only thing you can do with it is whack mountains of PTFE tape on it and pray. I was never able to get it to seal completely that way so it is going in the bin. I would absolutely never in a million years install this thing on a pressurised water supply.
