1/4" cable tends to bind on the side of the ...
1/4" cable tends to bind on the side of the cutter instead of cutting cleanly, maybe due to it's small size.

Good tool to have around.
I have one of these, though I didn't buy it off Amazon. It works well, though you won't get a surgical cut like you would with a Greenlee $190 cutter. But it'll handle up to about a 5/8" steel cable... and for the cost and convenience of having it around ya can't beat it. The blades are replaceable... I've cut about 20 wire ropes and they're still fine. HIT is Chinese, but they make good stuff, the steel is hardened (not cast)..
