Is this a dish the butter fits into with a lid OR a bell dome lid where the butter is packed that seats into the base with water in it?

It is a regular dish, place butter inside and the lid is regular. I love mine, nice quality and looks great.

Is the color of this item creamy yellow or closer to an almond color

It is an off white color. Almond or cream colored.

Does the lid have a rubber gasket seal or does it just rest on the top of the bottom piece?

Rests on an lnner lip of bottom piece. Lid can slip inside dish when empty. Got stuck a few times. Doesn't hold a standard pound. Old fashioned pound. Wider and shallower.

Where is this Charlotte Watson butter dish made?

Glass maybe porcelain I can't remember it ended up chipping . The lid didn't fit very good either
