Just what we needed for training
This worked well with our office Yealink phones. We needed for a training employee to be able to hear the conversation of how to handle customers & this worked exactly how we needed.

Work's Perfectly
I am using this device to switch between the regular telephone hand set and a headset with a boom-microphone. Actually "switching" isn't quite the correct word. Both devices are always active at the same time for listening -- the bottons on the top just let you mute the microphone on the device you don't wish to use. As far as I can tell, if neither mute button is used, then both microphones are simultaneously active. If both microphones are enabled in this way, there is a slight reduction in volume heard by the person you are speaking to, but this is subtle and you have to be critical listener to hear the difference. All and all, well done. BTW, I have my "splitter" attached to the side of my phone using double-stick tape (I used this: https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Extreme-Mounting-400-inches-414-LONGDC/dp/B00FUEN2GK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1542576541&sr=8-2&keywords=extreme%2Bmounting%2Btape&refinements=p_89%3AScotch&th=1 )

Great training headset
I have two of these in a call center to use while training new hires. They are excellent and work exactly as shown. The buttons can be confusing (the muted line is ‘up’) and slightly counterintuitive, but the customers have no issues hearing whoever is speaking, and have never had any issues with the trainee talking/being heard while the trainer is on a call. I have used one of them for over a year and it still functions perfectly, would buy again in the event that I need more.

An imperfect, but functional, device.
I briefly needed a splitter in the office to train a new rep, so I picked up one of these. It's totally functional and easy to usw, but I'm not impressed with the sound quality of the incoming calls. There's a muffled crackal that comes through and I believe the callers also get their sound quality downgraded. It's okay for short term use, but its use as a long term training tool suffers due to the sound quality it puts out.

Does NOT work with Cisco 7942. I can hear them but they can barely hear me.
Does NOT work with Cisco 7942. I can hear them but they can barely hear me. It's so faint.I'm returning. DID maker even test these before selling . I don't think so.

Easy and straight forward
At first I was a bit skeptical as IP phones can be finicky, but these were truly plug and play. Worked perfect for the training applications that we needed them for.
