Adjustment Mechanism Needs Work
Where to start, the dial indicator seems most likely fine, "seemed" to be pretty sensitive. Adjusting the dial to zero it was pretty poor as the threads seemed to catch, almost like sand was in there. The main issue I had were the adjustment arms. They looked like someone had thought them out a little too well. Reminded me of a rube goldberg contraption. If you loosened one to much, it fell apart requiring reinserting the arm into the holder. The attachment for the dial indicator did not allow very much movement before the back of dial would contact the arm. Move the arms and the vertical arm would start to unscrew from the base. Lastly, the magnet did not hold very well on vertical surfaces. Attempt to move the arms with just a little bit of resistance and the base would pull off.

It works as advertised
Package arrived promptly and in good shape. The kit is really solid, especially the magnetic base and stand ... while the dial itself is rather cheap and a bit flimsy. I used this to align a blade on a rock saw...I was looking for fractions of an inch accuracy and it did deliver on this...though i had to do some adjustments to be sure the dial was not sticking. Overall good value for the money - even if you have to replace the dial meter for a better one for prolonged use. The instructions are not very useful, i don't understand why they cant hire someone who speaks/writes English to write clear instructions for the product.
