Easy to install in my Heatilator gas fireplace.
I have had the blower fan now for 2 winter seasons. Was easy to install and fits well in my Heatilator gas fireplace. Runs quietly. Thermostat control works well. Wish it pushed more air volume, but it has worked quietly & flawlessly.

DIY Install and Money Saver
I couldn't ask for an easier installation and setup. The hardest part was working around the existing equipment in the fireplace, but this product was easy to work with and fit perfectly against the back vent of my fireplace. Compared to purchasing this through a local gas logs company and having them install, I was grateful for cost savings and not creating a huge headache for myself. The fan speed and air flow were great on the highest setting but that wasn't necessary for the 25ft x 20ft living room, plus the noise level at that speed was also a bit much. Not hard to hear over, just louder than we wanted. This fan warms the room nicely on even the lower settings.

Great product! My neighbor paid over $500 to get it installed. It’s super easy to do it on your own!
I shopped around for the best one. This one is easy to install. Need to understand that the space under the fireplace is tight. But after I cleaned out the dust, did a dry-run on the installation. I peeled off the tape and stuck it on. Pressed and held for a few seconds to allow proper adherence. The noise level is loud if you crank it up, which is expected since it’s like a cave underneath. We found a speed level that pushes out great heat and it’s the same decibels as our central HVAC heat when it’s on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: that it’s all connected outside the fireplace to make sure all the connections are correct and there are no issues with the fan

Very quiet and easy to install
We read the reviews and we read where some people complained that this fan was noisy. We DO NOT think these are noisy. Our old 4 blade fans were noisy and we had to adjust our TV up to hear it. We need no adjustments with this fan. It does put out a good air flow and our room heats up faster. This is a good product!

Just installed, so my comments are about installation, first operation.
Before you buy: 1. is there a grounded outlet inside the gas fireplace enclosure? If not, you'll be running the cord through the bottom grate. 2. can you remove the bottom, tilt-out grate? This was necessary for me to squeeze the blower into the restricted space under the firebox. 3. is the installer flexible, with not large forearms? It's a tight fit for arms to maneuver the blower into place. Installation instructions that came with the unit are two pieces of paper, with just drawings. I have a lot of DIY experience; even so it took careful study. The original gas fireplace installation instructions are of no use. Tools needed: Just a vacuum and rags to clean out the dust, dirt from the space below the firebox. The unit comes with a blower speed adjustment knob. There is enough wiring with the unit for the knob to be mounted outside the installation enclosure. There are no instructions as to how or where to mount the thermostat. I learned that it is magnetic and attached it under the hottest part of the firebox. Where I have it mounted, right now, it takes 12 minutes for the bottom of the firebox to warm up enough for the fan to come on. The blower continues to run after the gas fireplace is turned off. When the metal at the firebox where the thermostat is attached cools off enough, the fan turns off. Nice way to move the heat out of the firebox and into the room. At max speed, the fan is easily noticed. Its not raucous.

Just barely... and noisily
I suppose it does ok. It doesn't blow as hard as I'd like, but when I adjust the fan speed to max it is pretty noisy. The air does blow the heat into the room, but only about a foot. That is better than radiant heat, but just barely. Plus there is an annoying hum when it turns on. Between the two I have to turn up the volume on the TV when it's running to hear my shows. If I find one that is less noisy I'll replace it, but until then I'll live with it and grumble when it gets cold out. If you are looking for whisper quiet, this isn't for you. If you want to warm your whole room, this won't do it. If you want to just get a little air moving this will do that, but i wish I did more research.

Using less than a handful of times and broke!
We purchased this and installed it but didn't start using it until last week. We have used it approximately 5 times and today while using it, it started making a high pitch sound. Quality isn't there for it to not even last a week. This is installed in a built-in gas fireplace so in order to change it, the mounted mantle and trim has to be taken off, which is a pain. On top of that, when you try to get product support, both options available are for ceiling fans. Would NOT recommend.

Works as advertised
Works great. have been using during the freezing days and kept its promise. We bought it thinking we dont have to sit near fireplace for hours. Has been blowing ample amount of air and is loud but not intolerable.

Hello from Alberta. Straightforward installation overall. My gas fireplace has airflow cavities at both ends of the firebox, but not at the back. I was able to adjust the fan placement to draw air effectively and direct the flow up one side. Initially, I had to relocate the magnetic thermo-switch. It was positioned in the fan’s cold air intake, which caused the fan to cycle on and off as the firebox warmed up. Once moved out of the cold air path, the issue was resolved. There is plenty of wire length in the harness, so repositioning was easy. The kit includes adhesive foam pads, which are required to reduce vibration and prevent contact noise. I used a wine cork as well as spacer where I had contact vibration. As expected, the fan is loud at maximum speed using the rheostat, but there’s a comfortable mid-range setting that moves plenty of air without being intrusive. (PS-Our fireplace uses a standing pilot / millivolt system, so we control it with a manual thermostat rather than a wall switch. This setup gives us a backup heat source if the furnace breaks down while we are gone. Even in an extended power outage, the gas flames will come on, and if push-came-to-shove, we could use an outside generator to provide the fan with a power source.) Overall, this blower significantly improves heat circulation and augments our furnace for cold winter days, with the added bonus that it makes our gas fireplace a true automatic emergency heat source, which was my goal. If the fan fails prematurely, I will come back and adjust my rating.

Je l’ai installé dans la gaine de retour d’air de ma fournaise à air pulsé pour récupérer l’air chaud qui sort au dessus de mon foyer et que je capte à la sortie Je l’utilise pendant les pannes d’électricité avec une génératrice

Great fireplace fan, helps that it has a fan control.
