Heavy material....great for the money!
I don't get where people are complaining about the holes. The picture clearly shows these holes on the top, and the verbal description states that there are holes. I purchased this item to go on our Intex pool. We have the type that does not blow up...it has a rigid framework...like PVC. This cover worked fine...a bit snug, but fine. It is a heavy rubber and YES...there are holes on the top. We are in an arid area that rarely gets rain during the summer, so filling with rainwater is a non-issue for us. We leave an inflated rubber tube in the pool...in the center...to hold the cover OFF of the water. I was amazed at the quality for the cost. Even if we only use it for a year!!! Well worth the $10 or $12 dollars. Pretty easy to put on and as for the cord rotting as one review mentioning. I actually can't imagine that happening....but even if it did....it's so snug that it really is not needed.9/3 UPDATE...OK...this cover has been in place for the bulk of the heat/summer. We have taken it off and on probably 50 times. It still fits well. We did get a tear in it...don't know how it happened, but a few pieces of duct tape and good as new. For $13 it is a great buy. Even if you replace it yearly....$13? This item is exposed to a very hot dry climate here in the Sierras of Central Calif. Still supple and strong.

Perfect fit for 8ft country pool
Bought this cover because, reading the reviews, another reviewer stated this was the perfect fit for a 8ft trough pool. I have to say the fit did not disappoint. When putting it on remember to keep the rope edge taught against the pool and work it around, you will need 2 people for this.It is the perfect fit, even with stood a jump in of our 100+ lb puppy, and even went on easier the second time. However sadly he jumped on it again and removed it from our pool and it was completely destroyed, laying proudly displayed for me to see when he woke me up the next morning right in front of our back steps. I do not have any pictures of it on my pool, as it wasn't around long enough for me to get one.I tried to add pictures of my pool, and the bandit who destroyed my new pool cover but whatever I did in the first review I wrote wasn't accepted so I am leaving those pictures out and changing my wording.Very sturdy feeling, very well put together, I was extremely happy with this purchase, I'm sick my boy destroyed it. 😔But you can buy with confidence.

Does the job
Works well with clamps to hold it when windy. Also the second year you can lay on ground as a cover before setting pool back out.

Works for cheap pool set-up
Unfortunately, I originally bought the 7ft version of this cover last year but was unable to put my pool up till this year. The 7ft did not even come close to covering my pool despite the pool instructions saying the top is 7ft. I took the loss and ordered a new 10ft cover. This one is too big but still fits. It took about 3 mins from opening the package to install. It does not fit snug so it is easy to cover and uncover the pool. I am worried what will happen during a storm. The cover does have quite a few holes on the top which I believe is for a reason but you will still get some debris in your pool..So far so good.Pros:- So easy to use- Super thick and durable- Have not had any issues yetCons:- Does not fit snug on my pool- Holes in top for water displacement but are big enough to allow debris to enter pool

Better cover than reviews may show, maybe manuf. Listened to complaints.
Just to update for concerned folks, I pulled the trigger on this one because right now, vendors are gouging the heck out of the prices on a lot of these covers, even for what appears to be plain old blue plastic tarp that's round instead of square.I have an 8' easy set, so I got the 8 foot cover. This review may not apply to bigger ones. The previous reviews made me a bit concerned. As far as the 8' goes, no reason to be.It's made out of a fairly sturdy vinyl, not the stiff plastic woven fiber of tarp. It does have drain holes, I'd say six or eight, and only around the outer side. They are in the downs lope, so the don't even contact the water. There are no center holes. It's a pretty stretchy vinyl and seems like it'll survive pretty well outside of a decent sized branch landing on it.As far as it's solar functionality, today is the first day it's been on all morning (and without the pump running, as I'd hooked it up backwards and was waiting for a second pair of hands). On taking off the cover, the water below the surface was cool, much like the temp of the pool with no cover, but the top layer of water was hot enough to be uncomfortable. With the filter mixing it, it should be a good bit warmer all over than the uncovered pool, so it does do its job as a solar cover as well.Hope this helps anyone looking at these in the 2020s.
