Q: Is this hydrometer dishwasher safe?

Absolutely NOT, there is wax at the bottom of the Hydrometer that will melt and ruin the unit. It is a high temperature wax but it will not withstand the hot water temperature in the dish washer.

Q: Hi, my son is has a school project to measure the amount sugar in different sodas. I search saccharometer and i cant find on amazon.Can this be used ?

You should be able to use this to test the specific gravity to determine the percentage of sugar. Make sure the soda is flat, because the carbonation bubbles can raise the levels giving off a false reading.

I found enough inconsistencies in the information that I just went to a brewing site and got the straight poop. It works well, once I found what I needed to know.

I would say no, because it is very fragile and most likely break if washed in the dishwasher.
