Great overall, but runs small and fits snug
Update:I took these hiking on a “hard” 26 mile backpacking trip. Although they are a tad short it wasn’t really a problem. I would rate these boots for a medium difficulty trail; a hard trail is a little too much because they flex a lot compared to more rugged boots. Having said that, these impressed me! They are comfortable and lightweight. They held up well even though there was a lot of rain, mud, uneven granite, and other types of terrain.———Original review:I got mine and have worn them a few times. They are definitely a half size short. I read reviews saying that, but a half size up wasn’t available so I took a risk. Everything is fine until I walk down a hill; I can feel my toes hitting the front. Overall, the fit is snug — more snug than I was expecting. It’s very supportive, but also I had to skip the top lace hooks. It was too tight at the top. By skipping it is more comfortable. The boots are kinda warm, maybe because the waterproofing is not very breathable, but I’m glad to have the waterproofing. The tread is very solid and supportive; I feel like I could hike on rocky trails and my feet would be protected. Overall I like them and have decided to keep them. Hopefully they will stretch a little over time.

Not very wide
I first ordered this boot in M Width size 8. They were too narrow, so I reordered in the wide width. They fit, but there was a defect in the right boot. There was an excess of liner material in the toe box that crowded my toes. This made the boot uncomfortable, so I returned those then received this replacement pair. My complaint with these is that the rubber across the toe of the right boot is not attached straight. This is pretty noticeable as you can see in the photo that I'm posting, but not big enough of a deal for me to replace yet another pair.I have been looking for a good, comfortable pair of hiking boots, so I have tried on a lot of different boots over the past few weeks. These are by far the most comfortable AND affordable boot that I have run across. They have good cushioning insoles and an added benefit is that the insoles can actually be taken out and replaced with something else if you wish. They are light weight and have awesome tread. I think they will be a good boot.Again, I want to remind you that the width of these boots runs narrower that most others. I'm a female and I always buy wide width shoes. I've never had any issues with anything not being wide enough until I started trying on Columbia boots. I first tried different styles in the women's wide width boots and they were way too narrow. I then decided to try out some of the men's boots. That is why I originally did not order these in a wide width. I assumed they would be wide enough since they were men's. So my advice to men is if you have wide feet these probably won't be wide enough for you.

Great for summer woods/yard work
I got these boots for lightweight summer wear. I live in woods and normally prefer an all leather option. The cloth in these boots looks and feels light a heavy canvas and and holds up well to normal abuse from yard work and moving around in brush. They don't breathe well but, I have never worried about that with boots anyway. If you working outside in warm weather your feet are going to sweat. It doesn't snag or allow sticks to get caught up and doesn't allow dust and dirt through. These aren't work boots and I don't know how durable they would be for a landscaper or someone working full time in the outdoors but, for casual use mine are holding up great. Moderately firm sole but not hard with some cushion. Other than a very tight toebox I have no complaints. I normally wear an 11 1/2 and the 12's I ended up returning for are a little snug. So size up and get wide if you have doubts. I am glad I found these and hope Columbia keeps making them. Great summer boots and probably 3 season as well. Mine have been going over a year and don't show much wear at all. For the price I wouldn't feel bad replacing them every year if I used them daily.

Perfect Fit with Great Support
I normally wear 10.5 with normal width but I am developing a bunion so my last leather shoe purchase wasn't a comfortable fit. Due to the toe box design and material of this Columbia shoe, this 10.5 fit like my pre-bunion days. I can wear them comfortably for hours since they do not press on the bunion. I am also about 70 pounds overweight and the support on these are perfect for my 3 mile morning walk on the hilly streets on my subdivision.

Boot is well made, but sizing is way small
I normally wear size 10 Chuck Taylors, 10 Altra running shoes, 10W-10.5W Saucony running shoes, and size 10W Belleville combat boots. Given the reviews about this boot regarding small sizing, I ordered a 10.5W to play it safe. When the boot arrived, my toes hit the front of the shoe, and were crammed together when I put them on. A big part of this is because the toe box tapers on these boots. (Subjectively, I'm not sure why outdoor shoe designers do this. You want your toes to spread a bit to grip and get feedback when going through uneven terrain--this is why a lot of other brands have a more rounded, boxlike toe. Having them crammed into a tapered point at the front would cause tiredness and cramping more easily, too.)Anyway, I returned them for an 11W. The 11W came, and they fit like a regular 10, as my toes still felt crammed even with thinner (non wool) socks on. I didn't want to keep returning orders, so the workaround I came up with is to remove the insole insert. After removing the insert, it feels more like a 10W with a bit more room for your toes. The boot is lined all the way around on the inside, so it's workable--I figure I might have to buy a really thin insert to save on wear and tear. So, in short with sizing, ignore the Columbia sizing chart measurements they list here, and order at least 1 size up if you normally wear a wide, especially if toe splay is a concern for you.Besides the sizing issues, the shoe seems to be well built. The rubber sole is real grippy, and running these under a faucet beaded off water impressively. They're also relatively light compared to some of the other offerings out there, and with the price at around $50, it's a pretty good deal.

Narrow-ish for a wide - careful of the heels
On the good, the gripping is solid - handles ice fairly well. They are nice and warm and clearly do the trick in terms of snow/waterproof.On the not so good, the wide really wasn't all that wide. I typically wear a 3E (even though I am closer to a 2E) and I found this was quite narrow. And the narrowness seemed to come more from the toe area as it curves forward. Also for me, the were rough on the heels and gave me blisters unless I wore double socks. There's just something that rubs the wrong way in the heel. We all have different feet, so it could just be me, but wanted to give the caution.

Exelentes.
No te arrepentirás. Pide tu numero de calzado habitual sin miedo.

Nice light hiking / walking boots
Arrived on time, I wore them right out of the box while walking the dog, good fit and comfortable, I wore them again on a 10k hike in the Rockies, again no issues, these are light hiking boots, not yet tested in wet conditions But the build is good, and the price is right
