Tried and true! Lawry's keeps it simple: Pepper, salt, Lemon juice & peel, sugar, garlic, onion, and yes, corn starch. No MSG, and NO CELERY SALT/SEEDS/ETC. Why is that important? Because beyond the issues with MSG, dried celery is a STRONG flavor. When you buy "Lemon Pepper" you want it to taste of lemon and pepper formost.Almost all of the other spice manufacturers add some form of dried celery to their Lemon Pepper mix, which confuses the flavor. Believe me, I have tried quite a few looking for a substitute for the Lawry's - which is no longer easy to find!Why is Lawry's Lemon Pepper so hard to find? God knows, but it is worth finding.
