AC Valhalla
Awesome game! happy I bought it. Only thing that it kinda bother me was there was this one time that I wanted to continue were I left off. My tv went all black and the game was stuck it did not let me to continue where I left off. turn out to be autosave the data got corrupted, but I figured it out just to let you guys know do not start a new game. Just load game that was previous autosaved mins ago and the game would start that way you don't have to start all over and start again that would suck if it happens again just download the last auto save and you should be good. other than that its an Awesome game and the fighting style is awesome as well. Really love this game a lot!

It's an Assassin's Creed Game
BLOW THE STEALTH HORN!!! Seriously, it does not have an Assassin's Creed feel at all. All you do is loudly murder people, en mass. It feels like it belongs to a different game series. Still buy it though, its seriously great.

Way too many game-breaking bugs
I beat the game, blew 160+ hours on it, and was only 3 trophies away from completing the platinum trophy. This game has a great story with an incredible ending. I’m a huge Assassin’s Creed fan and have the platinum on every game in the franchise (except AC1 because it is so old it never had trophies, and this one). However, Valhalla is infested with bugs to the point I wish I had never played it. So many of these bugs are game-breaking, and the issue seems to spread between save files. So even if you save regularly using 15 different save files, something that goes wrong in one save file can affect ALL of the others. Here are a few ive encountered so far: - Some missions will daisy chain into other missions, where subsequent parts only unlock as you complete them in order. However, sometimes the subsequent missions never become available after completing a mission, and these are main story campaign missions. So it’s possible to completely lock yourself out of being able to make progress. Your only hope is to load a save file from before you completed the mission and complete it again. Ubisoft is aware of this but hasn’t fixed it. - Some missions lock up in the middle stages. Some missions require you to complete several objectives within the same mission, and a bug is breaking them during the middle, leaving you permanently unable to complete them. This is happening with a laundry list of side quests and main quests, some of which Ubisoft acknowledges, and others that they act as though don’t exist despite many people complaining about them online. “Pig of Prophecy” is one that is broken. - When fishing, sometimes fish will not get recognized as being caught as far as the “catch one of every fish” trophy goes. - The 3 new added abilities Ubisoft added which only unlock upon completing the main story will appear, and then suddenly disappear, leaving you permanently with unspent ability points. Sometimes when loading a save from before the time you unlocked them will allow you to unlock it again, but other times it just awards you mastery points instead of unlocking the 3 new abilities because there is cross-save corruption going on that makes the game think you already unlocked them. Even if you load any prior save from before the time they disappeared, they are still gone on every save file. - Sometimes the game will reset your quiver upgrades without giving back your insanely rare “fabric” used to craft them. Even if you manage to load a save from before this happened, you might still *see* the quiver as being fully upgraded, but if you check the quiver;s capacity, it’s stuck at the default standard capacity without the upgrades. This will so,show affect ALL save files and corrupt them all. - After collecting Treasure Hoard maps, and examining them, sometimes they won’t become available for collecting. This happens randomly for one or two treasure hoards on some of the YouTube channels I’ve watched where they show the issue. For me, however, it seems to be affecting them all. I can’t collect any of them. Ubisoft never should have even considered releasing this game, even now. Yet they are wasting people’s time by adding glitchy holiday quests instead of fixing the game. Most of the game seems to be designed using a User Interface meant for a PC rather than a console, making menu navigation a painfully slow nightmare. By being this cross-platform they’ve become a jack of all platforms and master of nothing but bugs. Beyond the ones affecting me directly and completely preventing me from progressing any further, there is a huge list of other bugs, many of which are also game-breaking. It pains me to even say this, but I hope they never make another Assassin’s Creed again. I’d rather the series die than morph into a source of frustration and time-wasting. Most of the recent games have barely related to the franchise anyway, the past two games the protagonist wasn’t even an assassin. It’s lazy and I’ve grown to hate the franchise it’s become, which would be forgivable if it wasn’t broken. If these were the days before online game updates, they’d be out of business paying out to class-action lawsuits.

I decided to finally get back into the Assassins Creed series during lockdown. I bought Origins, Odyssey and this game. I enjoyed Origins but weren't as keen on Odyssey. Whereas Origins felt more like a classic AC game, Odyssey was nothing like Assassins Creed. I had heard Valhalla was closer to Origins and I was pleased to find it was. The newer AC games, this included arent as stealthy or orientated on the parkour elements. Your characters can easily run up any walls just by holding some buttons. But this doesnt mean Valhalla isn't a good game. It's a brilliant game and one I have invested a LOT of hours into. If you haven't played Origins and Odyssey I would at least recommend watching a YouTube video to catch up on the storyline before playing this game. There is a lot of content in the game, a lot of collectables if you like spending hours gathering things. There is also a whole story line based on Viking Mythology which sits somewhat separate to the main story. So consider this as having 1 and half games for the price of one. I've always like the humour in these games too. The story is entertaining and enticing. You can go on Viking raids with a party of NPC vikings or you can go solo and clear fortresses yourself. Either stealthily or charging straight in like a... well like a viking. Even if you arent a fan of Assassins Creed, you can buy this game and enjoy it for what it is.
