Liked the film when I first saw it back in the early 80s ...
I looked for a DVD for over 20 years and just gave up. Then in March 2023 I see that this DVD came out 10 years ago ... 2013. I really liked Rebecca Dianna Smith in this film. She only made two films and one TV show episode and then just disappeared forever. Could she ever run ... in the beginning of the film when she and David (Dack Rambo) are running to the car to go to New Orleans, her legs are moving. David Huddleston as Pete Carroll is also a plus in this film. Check his film credits, he was in a lot of films. I would like to add some information about the DVD that I didn't know until I received it a few days ago. There are two versions of the film on the DVD ... one is the theatrical widescreen version at 89 minutes and the other is the television version at 95 minutes. There is also a film trailer included. The information on the DVD back cover says 'Not Rated' which seems to be for both versions. This is the information provided: "These Motion Pictures Previously Were Released in a Version Rated PG. These Unrated Versions Contain Material Different from the PG-Version". Happy to have this additional information and material on the DVD. I had not seen any mention anywhere of these 'extras'. Wish this DVD had come out earlier ... before 2013.

Interesting and suspenseful
Dack Rambo fan. Was not sure I would like it from the title as I'm not a horror film fan. It's more suspense than horror. It does touch on some interesting issues related to dealing with sexual assault. The story line is not one I would call my favorite, but it was interesting and suspenseful.

Laughable.
What an absolute load of rubbish. I’ve seen episodes of kojak with more suspense. It drags on and on with about as much tension as emptying the cats litter tray. Good locations totally wasted in what is a very mild tv type of movie. Hope neither of the so called stars ever worked again. Endless wittering on by the bad guy made my ears bleed, absolutely laughable. Death Weekend this is not.
