Large and Helpful!!!
I work with a child that struggles to hold down his private and aim into the toilet. This has solved that issue!! Not only does it keep the urine from going all over the bathroom walls (and into a heating duct, because who designs a duct to come out in front of the toilet, but I digress), it also serves as a wonderful book holder if you have a child who likes to read in the bathroom. It is large enough to catch all streams, but also compact enough you don't feel weird carrying it around. Even the older kiddos I work with are able to use this and it catches all the streams! We struggled for a while to find a splash guard that was actually big enough for our needs and this one completely blew us away! We now recommend this to all of our families that are actively potty training.

Total waste
This does not fit on my elongated toilet or my elevated toilet seat. I can use it but only at an angle and holding it in place with one hand. It is very wide and makes it impossible to wipe with it in the way so you are moving a wet device once you are done. It has saved me from an messy accident a couple of times but is basically worthless unless you have a least one hand to help and are in a position to move it out of the way without spilling, This one gets a Nope for totally bad design and functionality. Unfortunately I have not found anything yet that actually works.

Difficult To Use For Individuals Requiring Physical Assistance
As other reviewers state this guard is not flexible at all. I purchased this for a seven year old child with CP and although this fit his Rifton seat it is way too big for him and may have worked if it was made of softer more flexible material and could bend. As it stands it was impossible to get him on the seat with this in place (without hurting him) and it was too tight a fit once he was already on it. This is sized for an adult (although one reviewer on here said they were using it for an 18 month old)??? I am not an expert but I think it is more suitable for a person that is able to seat themselves or the guard can be placed after they are seated. Because it is not flexible you have to be able to lift them up and over the guard (it is tall) and/or be able to spread legs wide enough to clear the width of the guard (which may require removing undergarments and/or pants). As for the reviewers who think this is overpriced they clearly have not had to price out this kind of specialty product. I wound up purchasing just the Rifton pee guard (it is made specifically for those seats) for $49 (including shipping) I have seen other seats with ring and guard run for $100. This guard is a bargain just not suitable for this child I wished I had read reviews regarding the flexibility of this product and the use for children because it is not stated in the product description.I do like the fact that the guard extends down into the toilet so it won't leak out from under the seat. I think this would be an excellent product for an individual that is able to seat themselves but just needs a little help with keeping pee contained.

A step toward more independence!
OMG! How awesome is this thing. You or they just slip it on after they are seated. For years, I had been using a home made gadget that I fashioned from a plastic milk container. It would eventually become misshapen from being squashed in a diaper bag or in plastic storage bags in bathrooms beside the toilets. It also had sharp edges that I had to be very careful with when I held it in front of my 14 year old disabled child. Yes! Awkward for both of us. I kept thinking there had to be a better way. When I searched the Internet, up popped this wonderful guard from my favorite store. Amazon!I got it today and just ordered 2 more. One for the other bathroom and one for the diaper bag. This is going to make life easier for both of us many times a day.

Made potty training SO much easier for my autistic son
I purchased this to avoid getting my son's urine in the face when he's sitting on the potty. (gross, right?) He has autism and if effectively potty trained now but is used to sitting to go to the bathroom. We'll work on standing someday, maybe never. I'm just delighted to not need pullups in the daytime anymore! The only possible issue is it fits on standard toilets better than the oval seat kind. But it still fits good enough! It also doesn't fit very well on public toilets that have the open place in the front. It is usable there, though. Overall - a lifesaver for us!!

NOT FOR POTTY / TOILET TRAINING
Waaaaaay to big for any little boy unless they are super flexible and can get their little thighs around the wide device. The edges are a bit too rough and can easily scratch their thighs. It DOES capture the stream though. It is probably much more suitable for an adult. Waaaay too expensive though for the piece of plastic that it is. Hard to manufacture this type of device on your own, so I understand it's appeal. Another reviewer said they cut a plastic bottle to fashion a splash guard (I believe they uploaded pictures). That seems innovative. Might try it!
