What a wonderful book! First, the photos are spectacular - and the house itself is perfection. But what I really love is the text which is full of information about what the Brooke and Steve Giannetti were thinking as they designed the house. There is so much to think about as one reads this book. They are both such thoughtful, talented people, and it is so satisfying to know that such beauty is being created in the world. I thank them for this terrific book and for the care they put into the creation of this absolutely fantastic house. As a side, I do want to contrast this book to the book about Mario Buatta's work Fifty Years of American Interior Decoration, about which I had such high hopes. The photos were terrible, the text was empty of anything meaningful. That was a huge waste of money that still pains me. It makes me all the more grateful for the effort put into this book.

Another beautiful patina farm book. You can see by the cover how dreamy and nice heir home is. In this book they take you through the design process of their home and everything is so thought out. I really enjoy this book and it sits on my coffee table now for inspiration and for the beautiful look. It has a beautiful image of there fireplace paper cover to protect the soft green simple hardcover for styling. It came quickly and was no nicely packaged. I’m very happy with everything from ordering to reading to styling.

Crazy awesome talent these two have! Five star design and architecture, four star book. I was trying to use this as a jumping off point for a home we are building so more technical stuff woven in would have been nice. I only wish it had a foldout with a solid set of architectural plans so that I could follow along and understand where each photo was taken within the home. I could not find the overall square footage of this home anywhere. There are bits and pieces of plans throughout the book but they are kind of all over the place and very muted out so that it looks pretty, but I found myself needing more. Granted, not everyone looking at this book is planning to build a home but if you are, you might want to try also reading the blog, which I have ultimately found much more useful from a technical perspective. This was an awesome bit of guilty pleasure with my morning coffee though!

A great book showing highlights of Patina Farm! When it’s good, it’s good and this is good. A great reference book and coffee table book for your French farmhouse!

I liked the book as it is written beautifully, accompanied by most inspiring photographs to help the dreamers dream about their future home. We bought it at the time of planning on building ourselves and the book provided some great ideas and points of looking at the design for country living.

Perfect condition

Patina farm is a beautiful book. I'm glad I bought it. It's a joy to turn each page, and a great tool to learn how to put together a soft, California/French look. I have looked at this book many times, and I know I will continue to enjoy it over and over.
