Good quality, held up nicely under pouring rain and on the highway at 100km/h
Bought this for my family camping trip this year as the trunk space was not enough to fit all the camping gear. This was a more economical option to a hard top carrier as I would only use it a few times per year. Pro - good price compared to a hard top carrier - it folds well and comes in a small box. Good for storage and doesn't take up a lot of space - good quality and the material feel durable - used it in the rain. Was skeptical at first with its waterproof ability so I place a tarp inside the carrier and also put my sleeping bags/tents in plastic bags. However, it stand quick well against the rain as the inside was completely dry. The water didn't get in through the zippers either. - I used the straps that came with the carrier to tie it to the roof rack rail on my SUV. The straps were quite strong and had no problem holding the carrier down even driving at 100km/h on the highway. Con - nothing really. The zipper can get a bit tricky to close around the corner. I highly recommend this carrier. I did use it with a anti-slip layer under it to prevent it from sliding on by cars roof.

Exceeded My Expectations
We put it to the test on a camping trip. The quality of the bag is excellent. The bag is waterproof and during our travels, there was plenty of hard rain to test this. Everything was completely dry inside the bag. Latching the straps and tightening down was relatively easy. Round trip, we traveled approximately 650 miles and no issues or safety concerns. They do recommend you drive for a couple of miles and check. I did this upon starting each trip and felt comfortable with the security of the bag each time. Last, it was easy to pack and there is lots of room. Being able to securely transport camping gear on the top of the vehicle, opened up the inside for a much more enjoyable ride.

Great product if you understand a few things.
We drove from Texas to northern Canada and back. The first day we almost threw it away. It made so much noise in the wind...especially if there was a cross wind. We learned that we needed to have straps on all four sides. This worked the way our car top luggage rack was configured...it would not have been possible on our other car. We drove through days and days of heavy rain. Everything stayed dry. On day one zipper not closed all the way and a little moisture seeped in. I attribute this to my error. I added a small clip to make sure the zipper ws closed and had no more problems. I never could fill my unit 100 percent....it did not look nice but when cinched down tight did a great job. After 5000 miles I had a small fray/tear on the front top corner. That is probably more to me than the product. I really cinched it down aggressively each and every day of our month long trip. I find this to be far superior to any hardshell carrier. I will not travel with my SUV packed to the hilt inside again. It made for very comfortableable travel.

Manufacturer said this wouldn't work with a sliding door, ...
Manufacturer said this wouldn't work with a sliding door, but we slipped the hook in between the sliders and it holds perfectly. Door doesn't open all the way with the hook in place, but there is still plenty of room for the kids to get in and out. Room for all of our luggage and camping gear, so much cheaper and less hassle than a roof rack.
