This was EXACTLY what I needed! It has allowed me to mount my Sony A7IV (which is encased in a SmallRig full camera cage) onto my gimbal without the use of an additional adaptor. Great quality build and good value for money.

Very useful for when I need to take the camera on and off the gimbal quickly.

I bought this as the original plate with the DJI RSC2 was not compatible with the Arca Peak Design plate, and I didn’t want to change plates over continually. The quality is excellent and equal to the original. The only negatives are that the pin to release isn’t as easy to operate, but it can be locked out of the way which you can’t do on the original. And the plate is a little thicker and was a tight fit on the gimbal even when the locking lever was fully open. But a quick adjustment to the lever fixed that. Both of these are minor, but the former is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Highly recommended.

It's great that Smallrig have come out with two baseplates that feature the teeth mechanism from the RS2 base plate. Turning up to set without the right tripod or gimbal plate can be pretty disastrous, and just as I keep a spare tripod plate buried in my camera bag in case of emergencies, I figured the same should apply for the gimbal, and I'll feel confident knowing I have a backup. The quality seems just as good as The DJI version, it's the exact same length, and was naturally a perfect fit on the RS2. I think I'll end up using their extended base plate more often, as it'll be ideal with longer lens setups etc, but I'd totally recommend getting a set of backup plates from Smallrig to any RS2 owners out there! I've included some pics which compare the RS2 plate with the Smallrig one.

Awesome bit of kit. Was slightly tight at first on my RS3 but after watching the video and doing a bit of “loosening” up it fits like a glove. My X-H2S now slides right in with the Arca L-Bracket. Absolutely spot on!

Just like everything Smallrig, this is a well built and well designed plate for my DJI RS3 gimbal. I use a few peak design capture clips in multiple ways so that I can carry my camera conveniently and since I've been using a gimbal I was worried about having to constantly swap out plates. Luckily this plate is the solution to adapt your gimbal to accept such third party plates so now I'm able to set my camera up to attach to the gimbal as well as my other options without having to fumble about with multiple plates.

I always like SmallRig's quality and value, and this item is no exception. This is the kind of thing you either need or you don't. If you have a gimbal or video tripod head with a DJI plate, and you want to be able to mount your AC plate/cage in a perpendicular fashion, then this is an absolute must-buy. If you don't, then why are you even here?

Płytka zaprojektowana dla DJI RS2/3, ale ja używam jej z głowicą Manfrotto 701HDV, MVH400AH, Benro S6. Wystarczyło odkręcić 3 śrubki od spodu mocujące zębatkę i wtedy płytkę można bez problemu włożyć (tyłem) do normalnej głowicy wideo. Dzięki temu wygodnie przypinam kamerę w klatce z podstawą Arca Swiss do głowicy i mogę regulować przód-tył w dużym zakresie.

Die Schnellwechselplatte wurde extrem schnell geliefert, wirklich top Service! Die Verarbeitung ist sehr hochwertig und macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Nutzung mit dem SmallRig Black Mamba Cage für meine S5ii – so muss ich keine zusätzliche Befestigung am Cage verwenden. Der Wechsel zwischen Stativ und Gimbal funktioniert dadurch richtig schnell und ohne Umstände. Gerade bei spontanen oder hektischen Aufnahmen spart das enorm Zeit und macht den Workflow deutlich angenehmer. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die mit dem RS Gimbal arbeiten und Wert auf Effizienz legen.
