The installation was very easy, took me less than 5 min. The light was bright and seems a solid upgrade.

Instant Bathroom Upgrade in 2 Minutes
I bought the Broan-NuTone FG600 grille upgrade to replace an old, yellowed bathroom fan cover, and it completely changed the look of the room. Installation was very simple – just pop off the old cover and clip this one in. It fit my existing Broan fan with no modifications, and it sits nice and snug with no gaps. The white finish looks clean and modern, and it makes the ceiling look much fresher without having to replace the entire fan unit. For a quick, inexpensive update, this was absolutely worth it. I’d definitely recommend it if your old grille is discolored or dingy.

Plenty of light
Easy to install and a great improvement

Attractive design. Simple installation. The additional light in the bathroom is helpful.
Bought this to look more modern and to add some additional light in the bathroom. The installation is basically "plug and play" and well documented in the instructions and online videos. It has a bypass outlet into which you plug your existing fan. Make sure you have checked your existing fan model to make sure it's correct for this new cover and light. Overall I'm very pleased with the design. The additional light is reasonably bright and does help.

7 inch spring width. Great unit fit old unit perfect.
For those needing spring width it is 7 inches. Good cover no muss instal. Light is nice and bright. fit my 1970s unit perfectly. Cheers

One Happy Camper
THIS is AWESOME! I tried to find a grille/lens cover that would fit an existing bathroom fan/light combo to which, I didn't have the brand or model number, but could not find one that would fit over the existing light reflector. I was at my wits end until I found THIS!! I figured that, with my luck, this probably wasn't going to fit or the light wouldn't be bright enough but I decided to take a chance - I'm glad I did. After removing the old light reflector from the fan, I had THIS installed in just under 4 minutes - it would have been quicker than that but I had to swap out the short wire hangers for the longer ones. It's gorgeous!! The light is very bright - not too harsh and not too soft - it's perfect! This turned what was beginning to be a nightmare project into easy-peasy.

Fit my 688
Fit my 688 and total install took just over 10 minutes. I'm a tall man, and had to grunt to get the prongs in. I wouldn't recommend it for a petite person to install due to the strength of the springs, but expect it could be done by such a person if they made a good go of it. Great upgrade to our 45sf bathroom that only had vanity lights before. Makes the shower area better.

This is the BEST! I'm so happy about this purchase. I replaced the fan and wanted a light integrated grille. Now when I'm on the toilet I can pretend I'm being abducted! It's so bright and looks so good! I'm blown away at the brightness... It has honestly changed my entire bathroom look and I've recently found out I'm not as good looking as I thought I was. That's OK... I'm really happy being ugly in the shower and seeing my ugly face when I shave it now!
