BOSS Audio Systems AR2000M Monoblock Car Amplifier - 2000 High Output, High/Low Level Inputs, Low-Pass Crossover, Hook Up to Subwoofer for Bass

Coming from someone who has owned, since the early '90s to present, many different car stereo systems. From the super expensive, big name stuff, to less expensive systems. I am surprised by the BOSS AR2000M. For a supposedly, "Cheap grade & China made" amp, it performs exceptionally well. (Lets face it, most are made in China,Taiwan, etc !!!). But paired with 2 PYLE 15" 1500 watt, single voice coil subs, wired parallel for 2 ohm imp. (max. power) and mounted in a quality, quad-vented solobaric box, it Freakin Bumps!!!. Excellent bass response, no distortion, and great overall sound quality. It has good features, quality contacts, & rugged construction packed in a small, managable sized unit. Honestly, I have no complaints & for the price and quality, I believe I made a great choice. Sounds better than most of the "Big Name" amps that I paid way too much $ for, because thats what i paid for, the "Name" & a fancy symbol on the housing!! But I will definitely recommend & purchase more BOSS products without a doubt !! Very pleased w/ BOSS !!

Bought this AR2000M to replace my AR1200 that was not 2 ohm stable and would overheat and shut down when driving my Sub , set sub to 4 ohm and it would still get hot and shutdown ....so I bought the 2000........... More watts than the 1200 [don't believe the hype, no way is it 2000 watts ] but it has plenty of power [ two 25 AMP fuses ] and a lot more than the 1200 [ one 20 AMP fuse] So far so good , had it pounding hard for about an hour with no shut down .... I've owned several BOSS amplifiers and have never had one go defect or stop working on me. Every time I purchase a BOSS product I'm a little wary. I've had their subs burn up and speakers pop with no effort, but the amps and even head units are actually good. I recommend this amp paired with some good subs from a higher end brand(alpine, JL, Rockford etc.). It can't produce clear highs or mids but that's not what a mono block amp is for. It pushes loud bass and that's what we like! Mine is pushing 2 older 10" alpine type E subs in a kicker ported box. I can't fully utilise this amps power, yet, but this setup thumps for only around $150 (if you can Craigslist a good box and subs).

I've had this amp since may of 2015 and it's still going strong. I've put this amp through some stuff too, it been dropped, accidentally arced way too many times for me to remember, pushed to it's limited, and been used for hours on end. This has been a very reliable amp considering what it's been through. It can tend to run a little warm if you playing some bass heavy songs. The only thing I wasn't really happy with is that it has a hard time hitting low notes cleanly (30 hz and lower). I've noticed that once the frequency gets lower that it does start to sound more distorted and gets quiet with the very low notes. But other then that this little amp puts in some work. If you need a cheap amp that'll get decently loud look into this one.

ok let me start off by saying that I should've known better then to go with this amp!! I have built many systems in my day but was on a bigtime tight budget this time! i ended up getting 2 kicker l5 solo barics and i freaking knew this amp wasnt gonna fit the bill but my empty pockets forced my hand. i was still hopefull since a buddy at work has the 1500watt boss amp pushing two 12s and it sounds decent, Boy was i wrong.....He said he has top of the line alpine type r's but he must have much,much lower rms subs. my kickers are 600 rms and 1200 max and OMFG do they ever swallow this amp for a before dinner snack!!! So i guess im posting this on a well known classified website and coming back for much bigger and better! this was just a temp amp until i can afford a kicker or rf but for the money i imagine this amp could fit ur needs if u have one 10 or maybe a 12 but for a pair of em stay away! and if u have solo barics dont be a dummy like i was!!!! damn i feel like i was violated!! lol well live and learn!!! hahaha take care my fellow bass heads and keep it bumpin!!!!!! btw shipping was very good and fast came in perfect shape but they overrate thier stuff(boss) all in all not bad for 88 dollars w free ship!!!

embarrassingly... I am using this to power a 10 inch alpine type R. i say that because I feel like its frowned upon to use a high quality subwoofer with a "substandard" or "off brand" amp. BUT.. I don't have 700 dollars at the moment to buy a Alpine MRX M240 So I've been rocking this. I have to say that I am fairly impressed with how makes the Type R sound. I would recommend this to anyone to power 1 or 2 low/moderate power subs. I'm sure it would preform well either way. I recommend boss products to any friends who are interesting in building a system and on a budget. if you don't have a budget then move on....

Absolutely the worst company I’ve ever worked with, the amp was okay but the company was not. I had no issues with the amp till 1 day it started cutting out then stopped working. I had emailed the company and they had offered to fix it that was almost a month and a half ago. I asked for a refund which was 3 weeks ago and they told me to go through amazon which refund policy only lasts 30 days if you’d like to only have bass for a month go with this brand if not spend the extra money and get something half decent.

Works perfect although the remote doesn't take the bass out completely you still hear it &its no built in fan to cool it down so on a hot sunny day so playing it consistently will have it cut out and go into a safety mode so it won't blow out because its hot &overheating

Got this to replace my previous amp that started shorting out. This is a powerful beast at 2000w, build quality seems to be pretty good. At this price point, you can't beat it. A bit thick and long, so a little awkward to mount especially since I had the wires run already to my previous square-shaped amp, but other than that, produces super crisp and powerful signal for my 1200W JLAudio subwoofer.
