I started using cloth diapers with bamboo inserts when my kiddo was around 1 month old. They have saved us so much money by switching from disposables. These seem very similar to the inserts that come with the Wegreeco brand cloth diapers, and both work well. Some of the inserts have developed some faint stains that will probably clear up easily in the sun; the pocket diapers themselves are still stain-free and snowy white inside! I much prefer using bamboo inserts over the microfiber kind for several practical reasons: - they are softer on my hands when I am stuffing them into the pocket diapers every night; the microfiber feels slickly plush at first but ultimately leaves my fingertips feeling raw. - they seem to absorb much better than the microfiber inserts, which became mandatory as my baby grew. Where the microfiber ones are always sodden and gushy, the bamboo ones just expand a bit and feel damp. - I can tell more quickly when they are wet, as they feel stiffer and bulkier when wet; microfiber inserts only become a limp, soggy mess that requires me touching the liner to check if it’s wet (ew). - microfiber is not breaking down in the environment/oceans and is currently alarming a lot of people as it's getting back into our drinking water and we have no idea how it will impact our bodies over time. It might be benign, or it might be killing us (I mean, people used to use radioactive material as fashion makeup until they realized it was dangerous). So, I will try to cut down on microfiber/plastics where I can!

We've been using cloth diapers for 19mo. After heeding advice from many online, we tried several different liners to see which ones were our favorite. Hands down, these are certainly THE BEST liners! Here's why: 1. We didn't get the dry time concept before the initial purchase of a variety of liners. Alva are superior in their dry time! When you wash diapers every other day or every three days, you don't want to have to dry the liners twice (many hemp & bamboo liners, no matter the brand, require drying on low for 100-120 minutes). Alva dry super fast on low. They can be line dried quickly, too! 2. They absorb more than the other liners that we've tried, by far. They hold the moisture without getting "heavy. When wet, they are still flexible so baby can move comfortably until changed. 3.They are naturally cream-colored and stay that way. We've never had any Alva diaper liners come out of the wash stained (grant it, you have to know how to wash cloth diapers). We say this comparing them to the many other brands that take on the same abuse and look embarrassingly "used" after the same wash. The only draw back to Alva is that as the baby grows, the diaper snaps change to lengthen the diaper for a continued fit of a growing baby. Alva have been a perfect length until recently (7-24lbs). [Note 7-10lbs: tuck an end over & it's not a noticeable difference to baby.] Now, Alva liners just aren't long enough. At night, if the liner isn't far enough forward, it won't catch the urine when she sleeps on her tummy. The same is true if she's on her back and the liner is too far forward. We are doubling the Alva with a longer liner (brand unnamed as the other liners are terrible). At least the longer, thin cotton liners, wick the moisture to the Alva diapers and do a relatively decent job. All in all, we still recommend Alva. We haven't found anything better.

These ALVABABY cloth diaper inserts have been a game-changer for our cloth diaper routine, providing exceptional absorbency at a fraction of the cost of premium brand inserts. The 4-layer construction offers impressive liquid retention that keeps baby comfortable through longer stretches, including overnight use when paired with additional boosters. What impressed me most is how well these inserts hold up wash after wash. After six months of regular use and hundreds of wash cycles, they maintain their absorbency and structure without becoming thin, stretched out, or developing odor retention issues. The quality rivals much more expensive alternatives while providing significant cost savings for parents building a cloth diaper stash. The super soft texture is gentle against baby's skin without the rough or scratchy feel that some budget inserts can develop over time. They fit well in various pocket diaper brands and one-size systems, providing versatility across different diaper styles. The trim profile doesn't create excessive bulk while still delivering the absorption needed for active babies and toddlers. The 12-piece pack provides excellent value for establishing or expanding a cloth diaper collection. Having plenty of inserts on hand means maintaining consistent diaper changes without running short between wash days. The quantity allows for proper rotation that extends the life of each insert. The washing and drying performance is excellent - they agitate well in the machine for thorough cleaning and dry relatively quickly compared to thicker, denser inserts from other brands. Highly recommend for cloth diapering families on a budget - these deliver reliable performance and durability that make cloth diapering more accessible without sacrificing quality or baby's comfort.
