Yes, you can ipggyback this iem ec004 on an existing viper alarm. Please pay attention to following points before you buy it:
1.	Read the item product description about features of it carefully to see if which just the one you are looking for
2.	If there is a chip immobilizer in your car OEM key fob, you need to have a OEM key & also need to buy an extra bypass module in order to make the kits working well. Here is the bypass module you may take a consideration: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MEHBVIC
Or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NSLPBG7 and you can buy it with the item together if you need. if you don't want to buy the bypass module, please take out the chip immobilizer from car oem key fobs and stick it somewhere around the ignition cylinder till you can start the car.
3.	Please note that you need to connect all the necessary wires in the device. Due to complexity of installation of this item, which required to be installed by a professional car alarm installer or trained alarm installer if you have no alarm installation experience, please make sure you can find one while purchasing it. And you can find an alarm installer in your local town or search “car alarm installation” on amazon or internet to find the installer nearby.
