A must have for motorcycle bearings.
Essential item in my garage now following complete bike rebuild including virtually all bearings. A few tips and techniques had to be learned to get the best out of it but overall very positive and good value.

Done the job
Bought this to remove half shaft oil seals . It took longer to remove the plastic film what the case arrived in than it did to remove the seals good tool easy to use and does the job

I had to remove a needle bearing from a front differential so I bought and tried this tool. After a light learning curve, I was successful in removing the bearing. I subsequently used it to remove two axle seals in which it worked well. For the time and low amount of effort it took the tool was well worth the investment, I consider it paid for. Depending on the bearing, don't expect the bearing will necessarily survive the extraction as you are pulling on the inner race, but then again it isn't common practice to remove 'good' bearings. Seals will also be damaged, but you should never plan to reuse a seal either. All in all a good tool, made of hardened steel. Comes with a short slide hammer (limited use) and a two jaw puller which works well at a smooth consistent pull not creating shrapnel. FYI you will need about a 1/8" to 3/16" of space minimum behind the bearing/seal for the tool to penetrate and grab.

This product deserves a 10 star. Save me hundreds. OEM tool from for to replace the axle racer was $350. This one comes with all kind of sizes and it works just fine. Only con is that the puller is too short, but works fine.

Ok. I was very skeptical but this is a nice set. I needed to pull an inner axel mount bushing on a ford escape. The collet’s open surprisingly wide so I think it would fit nearly any dimensions wi the in reason. I tried the the static puller first but I had to position it against the alloy transfer case and was scared I would break the case but it would have pulled it out for sure. I then switched to the slide hammer and I can say without a doubt it will take a lot of abuse. I had to slide that hammer as hard as I could as my bushing was seized in there. Eventually it pulled out. Never once did o feel the collets or hammer or any connections would break. Highly recommend !!

I give this product a 5, ONLY for the design of it, the real disappointment is the number of reviews This OMT product made me very disappointed. Did not expect these type of issues from OMT. The 1st set I had to turn back in for defects. However, this 2nd set is actually worse. The first issue are the diameters of the collets themselves, most were undersized .8mm to 2.2mm. This affects the working range where it was impossible to remove a bearing, one too big, the other to small [1st kit]. Another problem, second issue is the cutting of the collet face itself. They are not 120 deg apart or offset from one another. This causes the collet not to open evenly, more like egg shape [5 of 10]. Thirdly, is the Pin Bolt, they are not heat treated hard on the tips that spreads the collet. Another issues of egg shaping. As per pic, these Pin Bolts where only use once to test the collet spreading and return to their retracted position [all were used to open the collet to 60% of max or approx half way. One could only imaged what these tips would look like after a dozen or less usages. All I can say, this collet set will deteriorate rapidly. Maybe others have had good luck. However, from what little I use it, I would NOT recommend this collet puller set. Hope this helps you.
