Makita LCT209W 12V max Lithium-Ion Cordless 2-Pc. Combo Kit

I couldn't wait to get these tools in my hands. When I got them I charged the batteries while I got acquainted with the features. The case they come in is the best looking and will probably last longer than any other tools of this sort I have owned. This tool kit is very well designed to last. I couldn't believe how powerful the tools are for having such a small size, the batteries are like one D size alkaline, only lighter. Every aspect of these drivers is very compact yet fully functional as well as the most expensive drivers out there.I had a couple of small projects I had saved to do when I got these, using the drill to drill pilot holes in metal roofing and the driver to drive the screws in. They were so light and powerful and easy to use, with a nice balance and fit to my hand that the projects was done in no time. This kit and the drivers are top quality tools. They should last a lifetime if I treat them decent.The charger only took an hour to charge up the batteries. It has indicator lights for whatever state of the battery plugged into it.

This is a really good drill set for small jobs around the house, and even at work. I assume not for the heavy duty jobs, but these drills are really light and easy to use; I don't get tired holding these around while working on my projects. It is a powerhouse for such a small battery (12 v Lithium Ion) which lasts a decent time on a full charge. I also don't need to worry about a memory effect, which is great since I don't use it that much; and since it holds a charge for a long time with low self discharging, it is always ready when I need it. The battery has a 3 year warranty, but since Amazon is around it is not much of a concern. It may be worthy to note that these do not come with drill/ driver bits, which I feel is odd for a "set" to be so incomplete, but these drills perform well enough for me to give it the five star rating anyway.

Having the right tool for the right job is important, and as an Automotive Technician this tool helps me every day. Most often I use the impact driver for an assortment of nuts, bolts, and screws around a vehicle which greatly increases my speed and productivity. the drill works well, and has no problem tackling drilling through metal surfaces. I do at times with the impact driver had a little more power, but even then, its really not bad for what it is. Having a charger and both the batteries being the same is nice especially having two batteries if one runs low I can just interchange it with the other while I charge the first one - very handy. Both the impact driver and the screwdriver are not too heavy, but have a sturdy feel and seem well constructed and that they can take some abuse. If these can survive an auto repair shop, then for you DIY people, you should have no problems with it. I also like the size of the grip and overall size of the drill/impact driver as they are not so big and bulky that they get in the way of everything. the case it comes with is nice sturdy metal case that can hold everything together for carrying to and from the job site.

I am giving both the impact and the drill five stars. The reason I bought this combo is because I needed something that was light, small, yet powerful. The drill is a little weaker that I would like. While using some larger drill bits on wood/metal, the drill will bog down and stop. Considering its size I was still a little impressed with its performance. The impact is what I use the most and it is amazing. I am a tower climber and I carry this on a lanyard anytime I am mounting antennas or the like. It makes quick work of things and the battery outlast me on most days. I have only had this produce for about a month but I feel both the impact and the drill were well worth the money. They both feel solid in your hand and are comfortable to use (I wear medium/large gloves most of the time for reference to hand size).

This is a great set. You get 2 tools for the price of one with a charger. I read some reviews where people said the battery didn't last very long, but I think, for its size, it lasts very well. I showed a rookie how to take apart a average sized furnace, and we used the impact on the screws. It lasted all the way taking it down to the bare cabinet, and we put it back together with the same battery. There was still juice left afterward. It fits very comfortably in your hand, and is easy to drive harder screws with the grip. It has good torque for its size, and the drill works well too. I would not expect it to drive big lag screws in thresholds all day, but who would? For me, I need to keep my tool bag as light as possible when I am dragging them around the job site, and one of these won't weigh you down. The case looks cool, but I probably won't use it because it is too bulky for my needs. The batteries charge quickly. The only con for me, is the charger doesn't have rubber feet, and slides around. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I just purchased a second one for the house.

Product and case are a perfect addition to my tool kit. This is a lighter weight and more versatile than my similar 18 volt tool. I carry one of these tools on my belt all the time at work.
