Gets rid of fire ant mounds for good
I have been using Spectracide Fire Ant killer for years. We have fire ants bad in our area of the country. Spectracide has never failed to work for me. I will put it on the mounds, lightly water in and then put a small dusting down again. I always wear gloves and a mask because this stuff really works. This is the first time that I have bought this from Amazon, because it was a lot less expensive than at the big box stores. If you have trouble with fire ants this will get rid of them for you.

Works well on mounds.
Very easy to apply and works well, but need to use a little more than suggested to cover the perimeter. The package could use better resealing strips.

Jane’s fire ant killer
Large bag, good price, easy to spread but didn’t try to smell (😊). Says it kills fire ant hill as well as the queens. Seems to do excellent job.

THIS ONE WORKS BEST
I live currently on 10 acres in Central Texas, and I have let all of the fiord ants on my land know that they are not welcome! I tried all of the "natural" ways, but the fact remains that we humans have created this horrible mess. In the 1930s the fire ant population was approximately 1 mound per acre. So in the government's infinite knowledge, it was decided that small planes should spray effected acres with a chemical to remove fire ants completely. As you can guess, the plan backfired, and valuable insects were irradiated, and fire ants multiplied exponentially.Ias I said, I tried the non-toxic remedied, and found them to be only folklore to today's fire ants. I have also tried other brands, but THIS ONE WORKS. I have to use it on new mounds that crop us after several weeks (in new places) but it really does get rid of the mound you are treating. I have seen some people say that they see the dying ants come to the surface, but in my experience, that only happens if you are treating planter pots. Do not use if you are trying to get fire ants in you edible gardens, or do as I have done, think of the current crop as the "sacrificial harvest".I will continue to use this brand until fire ants figure out s way to evolve and a new product will need to evolve in this war on fire ants.Good luck!

Not so good on killing the Ants.
Did not have the best results with this product. We had to go to Tractor Supply for one that was liquid to poor on the mounds.

Hate fire ants?
This product is the best. Wet the ant mound, shake the product on it, and dampen it once more. Fire ants dead and gone.
