I finally had the opportunity to use my week old purchase. I saw this product as I was scanning YouTube and found a 55 minute video (yes, long but found it to be very worth my time for this important chore), put on with an employee of ‘Kleen Tank’ (KleenTank.com), a business that flushes out holding tanks for clients that hire them to clear out tanks for many different reasons. After purchasing a water flow gauge for my garden hose (as they recommended, for obvious reasons), and the required ‘Flush gate’ (above), I took my trailer to a local dump site rather than wait to do it at a campground dump location and risk a back up line that would push me beyond a typical timeline to complete the task. It went perfectly the first time with zero issues. The flush gate valve is so slick and reverse filling both tanks went quicker than I expected (roughly 1 gallon per 10 seconds, for me). My wife was in the trailer just this 1st time, to make sure we didn’t overflow anything as it progressed filling. I wanted 80% of the tank filled as recommended ( 30 gallon tank so 24 gallons for my rig). We stopped filling at 22 gallons when she called out to me as it filled. We ended up doing 2 flushes until clean on the Black, and then 2 on the gray. This system is really a quality accessory to get, then keep my holding tanks maintained properly. Check out the website mentioned above, it’s important to know that they recommend NOT using a Black Tank additive to break down solids, as it becomes a ‘pancake mix’ type mud in your tank and if allowed to dry AT ALL, it’ll be very tough to clean with a normal flush at a campground dump. More important info on that company’s website and worth the time, trust me. If you use any type of RV and need to use a dump station, get this accessory along with a water flow gauge. You’ll be very happy in future rinsing chores……..I promise!

This is the second type of back-flush attachment I have tried the first orange one with a 360 swivel blow apart on me while flushing, not the best experience. I figured this was due to the weakness of the swivel design, so this one being fixed does not have that potential flaw. I have to say on receipt I was impressed just how well made a sturdy this was, look stronger than the previous one. Having now given this a good test, I have to say, get one. The amount of additional waste I flushed was shocking, but I also noticed that I did not get any unpleasant smells while camping. So a really clean tank is a happy tank. I only have a small trailer, so smaller tanks, but back filling did not really take much time at all, flow from the hose attachment was significant and strong, enough to flush more out without back-filling. If you want a clean tank get one, then you'll wonder why you never purchased one sooner. Now for the observations; I found it a little annoying that the hose connection brings the hose right over the main dump valve on the device. While it does not stop you using it you do need to turn the valve handle 90 degrees to open it as the hose is in the way. Just wondering why they did not offset the hose connection and valve by 90 degrees, it does look like something you could do yourself, but its does not affect functionality. The other observation is one of time, to do the backflush it does take time and if its a single dump station you can end up with people waiting. I performed 2 full back flushes last time out which takes around 20-30 minutes with the initial dump, so allow for that. That said we waited for the trailer in front of us to dump and use their internal flush system, which was not much quicker anyway. Would recommend, but please get a separate hose for this only as we have seen people using their fresh water hose, which is not to be recommended, we have the bright orange hose so there's no mistakes. Happy camping

Hi there, probably the best accessory I have bought for my RV as I don't have a black tank flush I use this to refill the black tank and flush it 2 to 3 times and it works perfectly I also use it to flush the gray tank and it's amazing how it works to remove residue from there as well I would highly recommend this product.
