I'm fortunate to have a grandson with an inquisitive mind who loves discovering new things. I got this set to try and see how well he adapts to the unexpected, and I was extremely pleased. He's a six-year-old boy who seems to be attracted to the logical things more so than the emotional things. We sat down and started making simple circuits, and right away, he developed an endless string of questions that included the phrase “ what if. “ From there, we spent a couple of hours developing different circuits for the lights, diodes, and motor on three or four occasions. I was thinking about making this type of set for him over the last year or so but found that this pre-made one includes enough to spark interest in the child, and thus, it is well worth the money.For a beginner set, you get enough materials to at least spark a child's interest. The connection points along the knife switches are sturdy, and the terminals screw in tightly enough without any fear of damage or breakage in the items. The terminations on the wires are well-made, and the lamp bases work perfectly. The propeller is a little snug on the motor shaft, but for the price of the kit, you just can't be the spark that will result. I highly recommend this set for anyone who has access to a child that's four years old or older.

Very cool. Kids loved it. I would recommend that the manufacturer install a disable link inline or in the bottom of the battery packs. But the kids did great wit it and love playing with it.

We found it satisfactory and a good learning resource. However, there were two issues. It came with 5 small light bulbs as shown but one of them didn't work. Also, the compass doesn't work properly. The needle doesn't point north like it should. Just the opposite in fact.

Great teaching aid to help students understand circuits

This is a neat little kit. My son had a good time playing with it and learning about magnets and circuits. It went along with his science curriculum.

Easy to use and fun. Enough of a variety to keep it interesting

My son (12) liked it. I bought it as a summer activity. Of course it took him less than an hour to do most of the projects. But it was happy to show me each one and he did them by himself so thumbs up!I wish there were more projects!

It is a good set. But two of the light bulbs doesn't work. Well children still have fun with them.
