Quality product with a unique design, hinged to provide easy access which makes this easy to install. This is a safe and reliable device. Recognize, however, this replacement is designed for a cord about the size of a three wire “extension cord” and is not suitable for “lamp cord” or small appliance cords, etc. When installed it is supposed to clamp/grip the cord providing a “strain relief” and its size does not accommodate these smaller cords.

This is great if you ever need to fix any small appliance. I had a hair tool that needed to be fixed. It didn’t seem like it was working so I cut the plug off and added this. Seemed like maybe the wires somehow got disconnected. Most likely from all the use. This helped it work again. Saved so much money since then I didn’t have to replace the expensive hair tool. It looks perfect as well. It’s a good size and is made really well.

I bought this to replace the end on a fireplace heater where the end was destroyed. I was able to very easily figure out how to use this and replace the bad end on the heater. I was even able to do this all on my own. I was very proud and felt accomplished to be able to do this with no help, and for it to actually do as it is designed to do. The process was very quick and easy. I will definitely buy this again if I encounter a similar issue in the future. Well designed and a clever little product that saves me a lot of money by not having to replace the entire fireplace heater! 10/10 would recommend!

We have an outdoor water fountain, and the ground prong broke off the original plug. Not having a ground on the plug seemed like a pretty bad idea, especially around water, so I searched Amazon for a plug and came up with this one from Leviton. I basically chose the plug because I was familiar with the brand and knew they made safe (UL-listed) and reliable high quality electrical items for the home. The install was pretty simple, but it certainly helps to have an electrician's wire cutting tool. The whole install probably took less than about 10 minutes, and the fountain was back up and running with no ground safety issues to worry about.

Was vacuuming one day when the vacuum lost power. Noticed a burning smell and saw that the plug was smoking at the outlet. Power light on the vacuum was lit, but it would turn on. Had no clue what was up, but figured the vacuum was junk. Set it aside intending to later buy and install a new cord (which would have been pain the arse), and hadn't touched it for a few months. Then I came across this Leviton 3W101-E 2-Pole, 3 Wire Grounding Plug and placed my order. Fairly simple installation by cutting the plug off the cord, stripping a bit of the wires to expose the copper, and then attach and secure to the new plug. Vacuum is back up and operational! Very pleased overall. The Leviton plug is a big bulky for my liking, and doesn't have a tab to secure to the power cord when not in use, but not a big deal. Saved me from the more expensive fix and hassle of buying and installing a new cord, and the even more expensive option of going out and buying a new vacuum. So the pro tip of the day is: always start with the easiest option first.

It isn't great quality but it is exactly what I expected. Good for the price. Did what I needed it to.
