Works well, cured my drain problem. I used it in my cast iron main drain in 1936 constructed house. The professional plumbers wanted thousands to rebuild the drain but this device cured my problem. I had been using manual snakes in the past but they couldn't penetrate far enough and then could not produce the torque needed. $600 saved thousands.

A plumber recommended that we buy one of these because of the number of plants growing into our old ceramic pipes. It works very well, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's not cheap, but it costs a lot less than a major plumbing repair.

I bought this so I didn’t have to pay the Plumber $100-$200 every time the sink backed up also by the time you drive to Home Depot to rent one for 50 bucks and then drive back to return it you wasted two hours so it’s really nice to have it. I have it at two houses and I use it whenever I need it. It works great, be careful learn how to use it. Don’t let the cable get stuck and keep on turning otherwise it’ll spin and snap and get stuck in your drain. 3/8 cable is a lot more flexible for inch and a half pipes and I prefer it over the half inch cable which is stronger and better for big roots in 3 to 4 inch pipes . If you go slow and easy, the 3/8 will do a good job if you’re just doing your mainline and it’s 3 inches or 4 inches and you want a beast get the one with the half inch cable

First use, cable broke 10-15' in. Had to get rental, same size, went through no problem at all, 65'. Called support. Horrible options. Drive 2 hours each way to have it looked at, or pack and ship to Ohio at my cost. Only to have it looked at with no way to know if it will be covered. I would buy from another mfg. Not like a drain auger is something I should use daily, but to break on first use after owning two months from new, and not covering it decently would indicate a company that is not willing to stand behind the quality of their work.

All was going well with my Ridgid sewer snake until yesterday when my cable broke at about 1-ft from the tip. Upon closer examination, i realized the accessory connection tip for blades is welded on. WTF Ridgid? Didn't think to secure the tip a different way to make cable repair easier like other models? My research yeilded that you need a repair coupling to fix the cable. Problem being, that it increases the diameter of the tip of the cable which defeats the purpose of using this size cable on a certain drain. Now going through 2-in p-traps is impossible to do. Thanks. I'm shopping around for a new manufacturer.

We love this one!! We had our old one that is so awful. It didn’t help fix our problem. My husband worked on this like 3 hours trying to fix it and it didn’t work . Ot was 3 days of wasting time. With this one, it took an hour to fix the problem!! We were really shocked how fast it was. The problem finally was out of our house and we were how many things we found. We are able to use toilets, shower and washing machines finally!! No more issues!! My Husband said he followed steps to install this one. It was so easy for him. Highly recommend!!! PS the shipping is a week so please be patient on this.

My dad has had one of these for over a decade and it’s still going strong. Never an issue besides the air foot pedal that just started leaking air (easy to find a replacement for $26). $26 repair after over a decade in the high heat of Las Vegas (it’s put in a shed, but still…). I bought this exact unit because it’s what my dad has and it’s high quality. Nobody likes to deal with crap, but when you have to you want a machine that makes the work easy. This does the trick.
