Cleans soldering iron tips very well.

Small package, but probably a lifetime supply for many hobbyists. High volume/Professional users will be disappointed with the product to price ratio. In the past I had always used a tinning pot full of solder. With this method, you heat the solder, then clean your tip, flux it generously and let it sit in the melted solder for about 30 sec. to 1 min. to effect a re-tin of the tip. This product is faster and easier than that method by a wide margin, the results are just as good too!

Yes it’s tiny; the tin it comes in is the size of a U.S. half-dollar coin but it works incredibly well. One quick dip is all it takes. I guess it will clean a hundred tips, probably even more. For tips you think are beyond help I would try this before I threw them away. Chances are this stuff will make that old, corroded tip look and work like it’s brand new.
