Last card reader you'll need
This my 3rd card reader. It work fantastically. Due pushing down vs sideways it always make a great connection

COMPACT & EASY ACCESS
Great little USB hub and card reader. Compact size; sits comfortably next to the computer. Easy Access: all slots are right on top, easy to insert or remove flash drives or cards. 4 different types of card slots, including most used SD and Micro SD. Not a very long USB cable, but plenty of length to reach the back of my computer. Added 1 day later: I noticed when throwing away the box & stuff, that this device was labeled “USB 2.0”, which means that its read and write speed is not as fast as some newer items. This doesn’t seem to be an issue for me; I transfer some fairly big files to and from flash drives, but the wait time doesn’t appear excessive. VERY reasonable price.

Always uses power.
When not in use I unplug this hub. Very annoying that the lights stay on all the time. Not needed. Hub works well though. 4 stars.

Works, but has annoying bright blue light
The good: it works to read various cards. Also, the cards load in from the top means you can stick a card or usb in with one hand. Most of the other card readers are side load: so it takes two hands to put a card in unless you fasten the device down. The bad: it has a bright blue LED on it that lights up half the casing and makes it look like a cheap child’s toy. Very annoying/distracting and not suitable in a professional environment. The good or bad depending on your situation: the cord is 18 inches long. This is an ideal length if you are using it with a laptop. If you are using it with a desktop that sits under a desk, it’s probably too short and will need an extension USB cord. This card reader does not work for me, the little blue light is inappropriate. If the case was fastened with screws, I would open it and disconnect the LED. Unfortunately, it is pressed together and I am afraid it would break if I tried to pry it open. Sadly, I am returning it.

Was just what I wanted, worked great. Very good for the money.

Stopped working after 4 uses
Stopped working after four uses. Now I am purchasing a new one from a different company.
