Certainly! There is no limit on age, older or younger. But., I warns you, the photosensitive materal comes with no validity date and may not function in short time, or already coming out of use.

Does this kit have the hologram 2 film in it? (updated summer, 2013)?

My understanding is yes. You might check with Litiholo directly but Paul said that should work for color holographs.

What are total dimensions of the set-up for transmission holograms? For reflection holograms?

The Dimensions for the transmission holograms are 1" X 6" and the height is 3.25"

How small can the holograms be made?

If you want the image to be seen as three-dimensional, you need horizontal extension to allow for binocular viewing, you stay on the size the smaller plates are made. If not, you have the image to be seen by only one eye at a time, then the hologram can be as small as you want, with the object and consequently its image being close or far from it.
