Good game!
I freaking love this game. I suck at it. I die constantly. But whatever, I have a lot of fun with it.

Thalassophobia Warning!!
This game is amazing! Without giving too much away, basically you are stranded on this water planet and the idea is to survive. It’s dark and creepy but isn’t a horror game. There are some jump scares because you don’t know what creatures are gonna be around you. You traverse underwater and around hundreds of plants and animals. You also find tons of lore and catalog pretty much everything you can find while salvaging your ships wreckage to make your time on the planet easier. In terms of the Nintendo Switch version, obviously the graphics aren’t gonna be as good as other consoles but it’s nice how the Nintendo switch version comes with both games on the single cart and not with a separate download (which is becoming increasingly common). I’ve played on Xbox and Switch and both are exactly the same minus the slight graphic decrease and some minor frame issues. 100% recommend!!!!

Most Interesting Unpredictable Video Game I’ve ever played.
Subnautica is hands down the best video game I’ve ever played. I’ve been playing video games since the early 90s, and love survival games especially. This game stands out for how unique, interesting and complex. The story is so shockingly good and intricate. I find every tiny aspect of these games fascinating and have played almost every version to the end multiple times. Each play through trying different ways to accomplish similar things. Over the years it has been out I’ve played it through probably five times. If you like games at all… you should absolutely purchase.

Video game for switch
Love this game. It does sometimes glitch and if you have not saved the game in a very important part you may have to start that part of the game again but definitely worth it. Love this game so much fun. Now starting the below zero part . Fun game!

Good games with a few issues
Ok, These games are great. They are really solid exploration games, that are a great fit for Nintendo's handheld. I own the first Subnautica on my gaming PC and I can say that both this version and the PC version suffer from a bit of pop-in. If you don't know what that means, it's when far off objects just kind of appear instantly instead of smoothly from out of sight. So expect a bit of that here and there. I did suffer a crash to home screen on the Nintendo Switch version and thats always a bummer. But it loads right up and you can continue playing, from your last save. More importantly, this game runs a very unstable 30 fps. You can really tell when it dips, but it smoothes out as you go. This game has a base building mechanic where you can find resources and build modular rooms to make an underwater base. This version of the game lags hard when you place a room due to the sparkly graphics that appear when you begin building a part of your base. Its playable and you can deal with it, but if you plan of buying this for creative mode and just want to build an underwater super base, just be prepared for the game to hang for a second each time you place a room. It also does not like you building windows along the water line. It kind of glitches out while it figures out where the water should flow. But don't get me wrong, it's a solid game and if I could go back in time I'd buy it again. I just want to let you know how it runs. It's what you expect from a Nintendo Switch version. The only other grip I have is that when you are swimming and trying to grab something or catch a fish, you have to let off of the right stick you use for controlling what your looking at, to press the button to grab. So if your moving, and the item/fish is moving it gets annoying. But thats a small thing.

Really a great game!
I bought this game for my son in 1st grade and wow it really doesn’t disappoint. There are some crashes as the other reviews indicate but the game must have been a massive undertaking and honestly is not really bothersome as you just reload it from the last save. Other then that the entire game is a work of art and we have been having a blast. Story line is superb and creative mode is superb. Very well done to the creators(s) and hope they make more.

Fantastic port
Let me start by saying I own a switch lite, so I can’t speak for docked gameplay. That being said, this port is truly amazing. I own awful ports (Outerworlds) and I own what I consider great ports (Witcher 3). This port is phenomenal. I never played this game before so I never experienced this games graphics on a PC or console. That being said, I’m absolutely not disappointed. I don’t get hooked on games easily and this port has me hooked. I believe people want to know how it runs. Graphically speaking, there is some pop-ins that happen, which I think is expected on the switch. Playing handheld, it surprisingly really isn’t that bothersome ever. The graphics are good. Could they be more crisp, sure. That’s also to be expected on the switch. I’ve never had it crash on me, I’ve never had corrupted files, I’ve never experienced out of the ordinary glitches that don’t happen on any other console. It’s fantastic. Plus you get below zero which I’m not even onto that game yet because the first is so in depth. The experience of survival in this alien ocean world is great. I highly recommend.
