It’s a good Christmas family movie, set in a beautiful little town. It’s about believing in divine guidance. It’s in a town that enjoys celebrating Christmas. As I said, a family and faith movie.

Mom wanted this movie so she had me order it. Not my thing but she hasn't complained so it must be good.

"Christmas in Evergreen" is another fun, romantic, and colorful Christmas season film. Fine use of racial minority actors although there could be even more diversity in these family-oriented holiday movies. I organized my own "Christmas in July" film festival this summer by watching some of the Hallmark and other Christmas films that I have purchased from Amazon.. Firstly, the Christmas movies cheered me up. Secondly, these holiday films are too good to watch only once a year. Thirdly, the snow scenes, even if fake, helped seemed to cool down the 100 degree temperatures just outside my window.

UPDATE-12/4/20When I again looked for this movie a couple of weeks ago on Amazon I saw the "arriving soon" on their stock message. This gave me hope that the mispackaged DVD's were finally out of their warehouse(s). I decided to give it another try. This is my 3rd attempt at trying to get this movie. I tried twice last year & each time the package said one thing but the movie was something else (see original post below). Finally got the right movie this time! Played it immediately to verify it was okay. It is, all is well and I am very happy to finally get this movie!.I happen to love the movie Christmas in Evergreen which is the first movie in the Evergreen series that Hallmark has. I liked it enough that I wanted the DVD. This is the SECOND TIME I have ordered this off of Amazon. Both times the movie came, the box shows that it is "Christmas in Evergreen" but the movie IN the box is "Christmas in Evergreen - Tidings of Joy" which is the 3rd movie in the series. I returned the first one that came in and tried to order again, thinking that the packaging error was a fluke. It wasn't. The second order had the SAME problem. I give up! I hope Amazon lets me return this on too otherwise it's off to Goodwill with it.
