Great scope for the price.
Great hunting scope for a rifle . Good clarity at dawn and dusk. Good focus through the 3xto 10x powers. Withstands 7mm mag and 30-06 recoil fine. Good warranty if needed. Eye relief is good as well as eye box.

"You get what you pay for"
I was wary of spending so much on a scope when I could get a cheaper vortex or primary arms. However, after multiple people with way more experience than me recommended this Leupold, I made the jump. And, boy, am I glad I did! It was very easy to set up and torque to Leupold's recommendations. This scope stands out with its quality and clarity. The viewing experience during dawn and dusk is exceptional, providing a level of detail that is unmatched by other scopes I've ever used before. I honestly think my eyes are more relaxed and can see better through the scope than without it! It is that good. While the price might be a bit much compared to other more budget scopes, the old saying holds true – you get what you pay for. In the case of the Leupold VX-3HD, the investment is definitely justified!

It's a Leupold, what more can you say?
I've own many Leupold scopes spanning many years of production. Optically they keep getting better and better. No complaint here and the company stands behind their products. If you are relatively new to the scope scene and primarily a hunter, just be a cautious, don't buy more scope than you need. Would highly recommend, great product and great American company. Will be purchasing more. W

Very good long range beginner scope.
I have been trying many scopes lately under 600 and this one has been my favorite so far. Leupold quality needs no introduction, they make the best scopes IMO. The Custom Dial System works great. So far I only used up to 200yd.

Solid product, great price
For this particular purchase I’ve chosen to replace a Mark III on a hunting rifle. In theory the Mark III is a better optic, but for hunting applications I think this is a better scope. More consistent eye relief, and great brightness lead to better target acquisition in shadowy woods. You can’t go wrong with this brand, it’s four stars vs. five as I think Leupold could shave a bit of weight off it without sacrificing the optics.
