Hi. These are self contained units that need replacing, in my case, every six months. If you have more than one user or need to clean them more than twice a day you will need to work out your own frequency. I think they estimated 500 wipes per unit when I first started using them. I hope that helps.

No lanyard hole as with the american version. why?

I am not aware the US version has a lanyard hole and I think I would not use it if it did. It is easily stored in a desk or drawer or even a pocket.
