This stuff is biochemical engineering at its finest if expensive. I am male and have been using this product for about 2 months. The first thing to know about it is that it absolutely does result in some kind of physical structure change in your skin—almost like a thin layer of agar agar is just under the surface adding... firmness. You can feel its influence on skin elasticity when moving your face muscles 2-3 weeks after starting. Cosmetics don't have to disclose their formulas, so I can only speculate as to how the bioreactor-derived collagen is manifesting but it does indeed appear to "work". The algenic acid included in the formal is non-irritating. Second, the inclusion of "microalgae beads" (and the waste phospholipids from the bioreactor?) alters the microbiome of your face. In other words, at first you will notice a slight increase in "ocean" smell in any deep oil reservoirs. Cyanobacteria seem to be at play here but don't last for long on their own: cyanobacteria cannot survive on human skin biomes. That is followed by a near total change of your own bacteria that may have been causing your acne: 1.5 months after starting, all of my acne dissipated. This is the first time in my adult life I have gone more than a week without a pimple of some kind—three weeks so far! My regimen that includes this product is twice daily: Morning shower with alcohol skin cleanser, single pump of this product rubbed vigorously into skin until dry, and finally moisturizer (Cetaphil). Bedtime with same alcohol-based cleanser, same product quantity and application, same moisturizer. Once weekly exfoliation with AHA-based product. With this regimen, a single bottle lasts a little over 1 month.
