This works perfectly on 1997-2003 Ford F150’s
For all you 10th Gen. Ford F150(1997 thru 2003) guys that are looking for a ditch light mount, these absolutely CAN be used on your truck without ANY modifications or fabrication. Here’s how: open your hood and take off the front most 10mm bolt that holds the hood hinge to the body, slide the bracket in and mount the end with the slot in it under that 10mm bolt and tighten it back down, that’s it!!!! Just mount your LED pod of choice(I mounted the OffRoadsTown 120W 3” pod w/Cree led’s and they’re 12000lmn, bright af). then run your wires and relay. If done right these mounts will not rub the hood when it’s open and closed. I highly recommend this product for the sheer ease of installation, however, their solid construction and quality of material should also be considered. You only use your truck’s existing hardware so no other hardware is included nor is it required. Good Luck with YOUR install.

The smarter way to add pod lights.
Very easy install. 4 bolts. Do 1 side at a time. Hoods are very heavy. Fits good on a 2021 3rd gen Tacoma if you put them between the hood and the hood hinge. I think this is a much smarter solution then the clamp on style which I was afraid would damage the paint. These brackets are side specific and not marked but they really only fit 1 way so is simple enough to figure out. They do lift the hood alignment a small amount but not enough for anyone to notice. Fits Nilight 3.2in x 3.6in pod lights easily with the hood opened/closed. I do run an auto hood lift system that opens my hood 7 inches higher than factory and even with this the pod lights fit with the hood opened without hitting the glass, but it is close. Metal seems strong with a solid black finish. Doesn’t shake or rattle. Time will tell if they survive the PA winters and salt but until then I’d recommend and will update if need be.

Perfect fit and excellent value for the money!!
I have bought many different mounts for multiple vehicles and types of lights, but these here have been one of the best price points for the value. The stability for the lights has been great for 3" and under, but I mounted a set of 5" and had to do some modifications to get them to fit. The vibrations on the smaller lights held up great, even when off roading or down bumpy roads. I give it only 4 stars because there were no instructions included, and the packaging was poor quality at best. The cut and holes line up perfect, and they mount great for my Chevy 2500. The finish for the brackets is a bedliner type material, and is very heavy duty and does not scratch easily when passing down tight trails with tree branches. I recommend this for one of the best mounts for the price and quality over some other brands that are much more expensive.

Perfect fit. Great quality.
I bought these for my 2009 F150, and mounted a pair of 4x2.5in Auxbeam V-Max pod lights on them. The brackets themselves were easy to install, are a perfect height, and are very sturdy when installed properly. For the price, you can’t beat it. Highly recommend!

They work great!
I will admit, I did have a little trouble with installing. Because of the way the bolts tighten clockwise, it causes the driver's side to pull in snug when tightening, and on the passenger side, it pulls away. My gaps between the hood and the fenders even shifted a bit. Not a big deal. No damage done. I took it to a shop and had them tighten everything up to ensure that my gaps were correct, the brackets were installed snug, and that no damage was done. Now, for how it all comes together. I love this mounting option over the lip mounts. Keeps everything clean, and when I open my hood, even with my ham radio antenna mounted, I have nothing hitting the windshield. It turned out perfect. Just wish I had thought about the bolt shift issue before spending time installing. I'd have gone to the shop to begin with. The value is great. This is installed on my 2021 Ford Ranger, and with the addition of a bracket, I have the versatility of using this for both my Auxbeam 4" lights and my NMO antenna. There is no vibration with these brackets. It moves perfectly with the hood of the truck, so while it may look like it is vibrating, it is solid, everything is vibrating together.

Need Better Install Instructions and Parts List
A few suggestions to Nilight for a better installation. I am very mechanical, but not a mechanic that installs these more than once. From the DIYer, here’s my feedback. When opening the box and laying things out, what bracket parts are for the Right and for the Left? It took me 3 attempts and going online and blowing up the picture to figure out the correct configurations. Sure I like solving puzzles, but it’s a simple thing and reduces wasted time and questioning if I have done this correctly. Provide a parts list of what should come out of the box and what’s its purpose. The bolt for connecting the hood bracket and light bracket seems a little undersized and weak. I appreciate the minimalist look, but I wasn’t sure if there were supposed to be washers or if the small heads were intentional even if my first impression is that this is doomed to fail at some point. Maybe smaller holes that match the size of the bolts for minimalist look or larger bolts for more strength. I believe the provide smaller bolts are structurally fine, but the bracket hole size raises concern and also made me question if these were the correct size bolts and am I missing parts. I feel like I could give a 5 star review, but simple fundamental and complete instructions and a parts list saves time, self-doubt, going back and forth looking at online pictures to validate. I find it helpful if there is some guidance and suggestions versus trial and error. I will come back later and update my review on the mounting, wiring and actual light use and setup. It looks very strong (ignoring the bolt size question) out of the box. I provided similar feedback with the Ditch lights I bought separately from Nilight. Same feedback on installation instructions and parts list. Those instructions are half baked. It took me some digging around on the site to find install instructions and then there were gaps and lack of clarity on if I have the parts set up correctly. I had to do and undo a few times and blow up pictures online. Lack of details can raise questions on what other lack of details happened in the manufacturing process (culture of company?)
